I ordered the large version before with cowskin head do you still offer the thicker head ?

the Classic Heartwood 9x18 djembe is goat skin and always has been, and cannot be headed with cow skin. We do have the full size Classic Heartwood Djembe 13x24 that is available with cow skin. Thank you!

Is it a real drum ?

This is a hand-carved, solid-wood djembe drum from Ghana, West Africa. It has a real, all-natural goat skin, and has been tuned to sound good right out of the box. Everything about this drum is real - nothing made in a factory or mass-produced - and it is fully playable as a percussion musical instrument. As with many musical instruments, it is best if the drum fits the drummer, which is why we offer a variety of authentic Classical Heartwood Djembe Drums. This drum is sized appropriately for smaller, kid-size drummers. Adults can also play it, but if proper West African djembe technique is to be used, a larger drum would be advisable. What are the dimensions of this drum?

This djembe drum is about 9" diameter across the top of the drum which is covered by goat skin. This doesn't include tuning rings, which add about 1.5" to the total outside diameter of the drum. The height is about 18" tall. As a solid wood, hand-carved instrument made in West Africa, there will be slight variations in size, but nothing significant and not enough to affect sound or playability. How much does this drum weigh?

It is small & fairly light. 4th & 5th graders fought over playing it 🥴 I’m not good at estimating weight.  It’s real wood & not flimsy so it had heft. But easily playable & carried by young children or me...a short armed person of limited mobility. I loved this drum & so did my class. It sounds beautiful too.
