Delivery prompt. Few smudges on the back of the book, as pictured in the above photo I have added. For that price they could have done better. Book is good with pics & detailed history of famous rubies in the content. Want to now read other books of similar genre.

Great book a tad expensive if you buy the emerald book and the sapphire book as well but a must have for your collection

An excellent book that covers all aspects of this gemstone - from its history, to mining to cutting to jewellery and its owners, sumptuously illustrated. An expensive book, not for the casual reader, though there is plenty to interest anyone with a curiosity about rubies - 'The King of Gems'

Un libro bellissimo, sontuoso. I gioielli presentati sono meravigliosi, e il testo (in inglese) è molto approfondito, sia nelle parti che riguardano i singoli gioielli che nelle parti più tecniche. Inoltre il volume è elegantemente ricoperto di stoffa, color sangue di piccione. Per chiunque ama i bei gioielli, per chi disegna o crea gioielli, per chi si interessa delle arti applicate, per chi ha un debole per i rubini. Il prezzo è in linea con l'alto livello della pubblicazione. Assolutamente consigliato.
