TExES Life Science 7-12 238 Teacher Certification Study Guide Test Prep

Great review book and easy to follow. Wouldn't make this the only source of information. Supplement actual textbooks and practice test providers on the internet.

Helped me pass the test.

I just passed my Texes 238. I used this study guide as well as another. My observations are as follows: 1) This book breaks out the exam into the domains and competences very nicely. (Although I did find one missing competency) 2) the practice questions are invaluable. (Take the test first, cover weaknesses, take it open book and study every answer option and then take it again the day or two before your exam) (utilize as many practice test sources as you can find) 3) it's not quite enough depth coverage on the topics. (I used two study guides, high school AP biology book & Khanacademy online to review (it had been 19 years since I had taken an exam) 4) don't rely on just this book for study. This test is about applying all the concepts in scenarios or deciphering what happened etc. it isn't just regurgitation. You have to carefully think through what they are really asking. This was the most helpful of the two study guides and provided additional direction that the TEXES Prep manual didn't provide.

The descriptions are sometimes complicated to understand and there are a TON Of errors. Don't waste your money
