Best lube.
Best chain/drivetrain lube available. MTBing since 1999, I've long-term used a wide variety - the boeing T9, white lightning, other wet and dry lubes. Purple Extreme is THE BEST hands down. Used it exclusively on my pivot Firebird 29 and wifes yeti SB150 for 4 years now, and both got over 3000 hard miles on XO 12spd cassette, 1 mech only 2 chains! All miles are hard miles singletrack, live in Colorado most rides are climb first then descend, mostly dry and lots of red gritty dust. Lot of drive train abuse, shifting under load and grinding, etc. Not rail-trail riding - over a dozen whole enchilada, dozen Mag7, couple dozen Ahab, Monarch, Breck, Wydaho, AZ, BVille etc so you get the picture. Follow the sheldon brown application technique, backpedaling and micro dripping between chain roller and sideplate. Let it set in sun a few hours or overnight, then wipe off any excess. Don't overwash your bike! Water is bigger enemy than dust! I often re-apply Purple Extreme to my chain without washing. And don't need to apply it for every ride ... I would do about every 75-100 miles of singletrack rides and not the claimed 400 (assume thats roadies). My mech pullys and chainring get red cake on them from lube + dust, and thats OK - again washing is a bigger enemy. I know bike shops and wrenches will disagree with my minimalist washing approach, but they sell things such as parts and service. And I also apply drop at pedal/crank pivot point, 3K miles on one-up composite pedals only changed them due to wore the platform damage ground down thin couldn't change pins anymore. Caveat - dunno in chronic wet riding IE PNW, BC how Purple Extreme performs long term.

Tried the Bike Medicine Purple Extreme bike lubricant...the best!
I'd been using another bike lubricant that I'd been using for years and my son had recently bought the Bike Medicine Purple Extreme lubricant on recommendation from a friend for his gravel bike. He said it was amazing at keeping the dust from sticking on the chain. So I bought a bottle and used it on my gravel bike and most recently on my touring bike where I bike toured France in Sept/Oct, 2024. A great lubricant and I am now using it on my road bikes and both touring bikes.

So far a solid performer as a chain lube for dry, gritty dirt (MTB)
I am giving this a try. As a long time White Lightning user, I finally got fed up with the waxy build up on my cogs. Chains lasted well, but the annual feel cleaning was a pain. After buying a new mountain bike, I was reading reviews on MTBR.com and in the maintenance area, there was a long discussion on chain lubes. The conversation around purple extreme was intriguing, and I took a chance.First, I removed and thoroughly cleaned/degreased the chain. A new chain comes with this assembly lube that makes it glide like butter, and shift super smooth. But that comes with a price, this lube is a dirt magnet, so after a couple of off road rides, the chain has collected a lot of gritty dirt. Off it comes.Following the directions, about 1/4oz of purple extreme applied, and while the drivetrain is not as smooth with the assembly lube, it is still a crisp shifter.4 rides in, the chain is fairly "dry" to the touch, but not noisy, the indication of a good application. A few more rides and I will repeat.I suspect if I rode in the rain a lot, I would breakdown and run a wet application of Finish Line, but for my typical riding, this seems to be a good compromise.

It Works For Me
Recommended by a local bike shop many years ago, I've been using Purple Extreme ever since on my chain. It holds up well on the dusty/muddy trails I ride.

Have tried many brands of chain lube, so far I would rate this one of the better lubes.
