This creates a positive pressure in the crankcase. During engine operation, blow-by gases, as well as oil mist from the rotating components of the engine, pass through the PCV valve and are routed back into the intake for the engine to burn off. However, some of the oil mist and other by-products settle along the engine intake and over time form a gunk. The oil catch tank collects such oil mist and condenses the fuel vapors while allowing cleaner gases to be passed back into the intake. While it is baffled, there is no filtering medium supplier for internal use. The filter included is of good quality which is more than I can say for the supplied hoses which can only be rivaled in thickness by a fountain drink's straw and emitted a PVC smell that would gag a maggot. The fluid level check hose did not fit the connectors so I had to replace it along with the other hoses. Easy fix though, just replace hoses with fuel line hoses from an auto parts store. Mounting hardware is included but I had to fabricate a mounting plate that could support the product & physically mount to my car due to the universal configuration (to be expected with universal parts). I highly recommend the hose upgrade (not a dealer option. ie: go to AutoZone or similar), a internal filter medium, and 1-way check valves to prevent backflow on the input & output lines. The connecting hardware & drain plug feels thin & cheap but is made of aluminum (I think). No instructions included so you need experience with engine work or know someone who I, or get very familiar with YouTube. If you are a DIY type, I would recommend this product over other in this price range. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Worth a buy *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2019* Just received my delivery, packed pretty well but the oil indicator line that is on the outside of the tank is not going to fit in the fittings.
