No Mechanical Experience: No Problem If You Take Your Time and Prepare
I have no mechanical experience changing anything out. I took a chance, and with the help of a few YT instructional vids, I was able to change this out. I am so happy with this install! The directions it came with were ok, but the videos found online helped more. Make sure you have all the right tools. You'll need: Trim removal tool Flathead screwdriver Adjustable wrench Sockets 10mm & 8mm Torx bits: T30, T20 Allen head: 5/32 Adaptors may be needed for the sockets Removing the old air intake was one of the main challenges I encountered. I had virtually no issues with installing the new one. Challenges were (I have a Jeep JL): Removing grill without scratching it on the aftermarket front bumper (I only had about a 3/4 of an inch gap to work with). Removing air intake air temperature sensor while being careful with it. Overall, I am very happy with this. It also makes my Jeep sound way better and a little meaner.

Solid Product
Love this CAI. Quality product and easy to install. The sound is much better than stock with a little more giddy up. MPG seemed to go up also.

Air sensor could be atteached better.
Installation was easy, i followed a youtube video that matched the instuctions that came with the parts. The only issue i saw was that the sensor is inserted into a rubber grommet, that did not seem like a good idea. It would be better to have the sensor installed just like on a connector on the OEM air tube. The Gladiator seems to have better fuel economy and better accelleration. I'm not a fan of the sound it puts out when excellerating, but thats what the radio is for. I'm dropping 1 star for how the sensor is attached. Maybe K&N can come up with a better idea. Other than that, i like it so far.

Quick Install and Sounds Great!!
I installed this today and it took me about an hour. Would have been quicker but I was in and out of the house grabbing tools and coffee. The good... 1. Install is easy if you have the right tools and read the instructions, Youtube videos exist so if you need more direction just google Jeep Gladiator K&N Cold Air Intake Install. 2. The motor growls when you hit the throttle! I do not want the full sound of an aftermarket exhaust but the stock intake makes no sound at all. If you are looking for a nice growl without being obnoxious (IMO) this is the way to go. 3. Throttle response is noticeable better but not sure how much of that is associated with the sound, it could be a Jedi mind trick. 4. This is handmade in the USA!1 (according to the box) The bad... 1. Other brands do not require you take the grill off and remove the air inlet tube behind. This is not a big deal if you are familiar with removing the grill but it still adds time to the overall install. 2. I have had other vehicles with CAIs and sometimes at low rpms they can feel sluggish. Overall they add HP and I believe they are worth it but it is something to keep in mind. I still rate this as 5 stars despite these very small issues.

Typical K&N
As far as I am concerned- Typical K&N-good products, built well, and does what they say it would. Very satisfied with it.

Doesn't fit properly
This is probably the 5th KN intake I've purchased in the last 12 years or so. Never an issue with install or performance. They got this one wrong though. Heat index on Saturday was 112 and the engine compartment was hot as well. All went well til the end. 1st, there were missing parts, which they have Fed Exed to me, but the issue has to do with the temp sensor install. I also give 1 star to Jeep because to remove the sensor, you turn it counterclockwise 45 degrees and wiggle it out. Nope, didn't happen. I called KN about the missing parts and also spoke to their tech about the sensor and also looked it up on U tube. Well, I twisted and turned and pulled on it until it broke ( new one is $35 at Advanced Auto parts). I installed the breather tube after receiving a replacement from KN. The major issue is the tube from the box to where it connects to the intake has a hole in it for the sensor to fit in . NO WAY will it work as compared to the OEM tube. Maybe Jeep changed the way the sensor fits the tube that KN doesn't know about. The missing grommet they sent me didn't fit the hole and I had to slice it 3/8 inch to get it to fit the hole and then the sensor still doesn't fit. The hole in the OEM tube is entirely different from the KN tube. Guess I'll just duct tape it until I can figure out something else and stare at my check engine light. Other reviews made no mention of this problem. My guess is Jeep changed the design and if they did, KN needs to come to the dance and figure it out. My Gladiator is a '21. Gonna check with other Jeep owners and look at their intakes, Either way, I'm pissed. At least it's working.

Cheaply Made. Sounded nice
As a design engineer in the manufacturing industry and an enthusiast in car modification, I have to say the product doesn't have pleasant fitment and feels rather cheaply constructed. The instruction was not the best and the images were hard to see. The design is also not very smart especially with how they want you to relocate the temperature sensor. Be EXTREMELY careful with the filter shroud and the intake tube. Mine was filled with plastic debris- maybe some pressurized air will bankrupt them so they skipped it. If you don't clean them, they will have to go through your valves and cylinders. Very typical so-claimed USA brand that doesn't do QC very well. Did not notice any gain or "better throttle response" like some mentioned. (The sound is tempting so likely you want to go with heavier foot) Also haven't seen the +2mpg. Mine is a 2020 JT Overland with everything else being stock and I am pretty light footed. Sound wise, I have to say, it sounded...interesting. It sounded more V8 than my actual V8 car, and for those who are looking for "an exhaust with no drone and not overlay loud", this intake might be instead what you are looking for...yes, the noise it makes is wat more significant than you would imagine when you give decent throttle input.

Is that a V8?
I don’t know whether this product increases power, but it certainly increases induction noise under throttle. Other Jeepers wonder which motor my Wrangler has installed. It may be too much for some people, but if that's a problem then don't buy this product. Actually it is not quite a V8 sound, but an oddly similar uneven note. Very noticeable. Rather than throwing away the OEM Cold Air Intake (which provides cold air directed under the OEM air box and up to the air intake) as per K&N assembly instructions, it is possible to cut the OEM CAI pipe to fit into an added hole cut into the side of the K&N air box. The result is then an actual ram air fed CAI for the K&N air box. See photos for details.

Not for Right Hand Drive Vehicles
First I will start by saying that this is a sound product, works & sounds great, if it fitted properly. K&N tell you not to contact the seller, but them directly. Even though this product is available to buy in Australia from K&N's own website for exactly the same car it does not fit correctly & there is no solution for it. a simple not our problem from the manufacturer.
