Would thos be too big for a 9 year old boy?

Hi I bought 2of these for fancy dress, one each for my children aged 8 and 9, they have lots of room and looked pretty good, I was pleased with them and actually still have them 2 years later, hope this helps, they are also lovely and warm xx

It’s a thick cotton .its not too heavy my 6 yr old granddaughter wore it .
