OTTERBOX Commuter Series Case for iPhone 5c - Retail Packaging - Black

I really like my OtterBox Commuter. I recently got my very first iPhone and I had a cheaper quality case from AmazonBasics that I was unhappy with, so I purchased this one. It has a solid and sturdy feel to it, and the color is nice. The inner silicon is a bit discolored from being put in the pocket of my jeans, but it's not that noticeable.I've dropped my phone about twice while it was in the case and so far, so good.Once was straight on to a hard wood floor while I was standing up, so I'm pretty confident in the protection it offers. I'm not using the included screen protector with it, yet...I have a ZAGG shield that was on the phone before I bought this case.As far as the Apple logo not being centered on the case like many complain, mine is. Maybe there was a bad batch. My husband has the black OtterBox Commuter for his phone and his is centered, too.

I've had a couple of this cases one for a galaxy s5 and one for and iPhone 5c for my daughter after she broke her former iPhone. The look great and super protect the phone from falls. I have dropped my galaxy s5 like 6 times and Nothing happened to the phone, one of the cornes of the case broke off (a little piece) but still Very functional. My daughter loves the look of hers (pink and grey). Great investment to save a bigger investment. They do make your phone bulky (like double). Excellent cases

I received my phone case in the mail today. After reading a lot of negative reviews, I was starting to get worried. Let me say...this case is great and fits perfectly. I don't know why people are saying it doesn't match up with the Apple logo...mine matches up perfectly.. If you are on the fence on whether or not to buy this case,....don't be. You will not be disappointed. It is well worth it and great protector. Just be careful putting the screen protector on....I messed mine up...but I can get another one. Buy it...you will be very satisfied.

I gave this 4 stars because, like my all previous otterbox cases, it offers good protection. Feels solid. I've had it 24 hours, and it has already absorbed a short drop with no damage to the phone or the case.I did not give it 5 stars because the fit was just a tad off. Where the inner silicon case fits into the hard plastic case, it did not line up perfectly. It is not a huge deal, but I noticed it. The reason I didn't deduct another star is because my 14 year old daughter, who the case is intended for, did not seem to notice or care. If it's not a big deal to her, then I'll leave it at 4 stars for the protection factor alone.It does take away from the sleek form factor of the phone, but just a little. I would say the Commuter is about the best compromise between form factor and protection. I personally have an Otterbox Defender for my Iphone, and while the protection is superior, it is also bigger and bulkier. I actually tried to talk my daugher into the Defender for her phone, but she wanted something slimmer. Commuter meets her needs, and mine (peace of mind in case she drops the phone).One other thing....since I have the Otterbox Defender for my Iphone, I didn't have to fool with putting on a screen protector since it is built into the case. Putting on the screen protector that comes with the Commuter was a bit tricky. It may have been me, but it did not seem overly intuitive, and the instructions weren't that much help. If you have experience putting on screen protectors, then it probably will be easy for you, but if you don't, just take your time and do it carefully. If I had to do it over again, I probably would have searched up a video showing the installation. Also know that it is screen protector in the sense that it protects the screen from scratches. It it not a hard plastic protector that would protect the phone from drops, like the Defender.

I have an Iphone 5c that is still in pristine condition. I see no reason to upgrade. So, i needed a new case because the Disney one i have had for 5+ years was finally falling apart. It was hard to find a good case for a 5c. I've always heard of Otterbox, but never owned one till now. I now understand why people like them so much. While i would have liked a different color, mine is black, beggars can't be choosers so i was happy to find a good case for my old phone. When i do decide to upgrade my phone i will definitely get another Otterbox case.

I absolutely love this phone case. I have dropped my phone numerous times since I am clumsy and not a single crack or scratch on it. I previously owned the lifeproof and even managed to crack my screen when dropping it with that on. For some reason this phone case absorbs shock very nicely. I used to always get scared when I dropped my phone with other phone cases. Now when I drop it, I just pick it up and move along with my day lol. It fits nicely into my backpack and is nice to hold. Another pro is that when you put the phone face down in a moving vehicle, the soft edges around it really hold it in place, which is nice. So if you want to put it on the dashboard you don't have to worry about it falling down. I've owned mine for 8 months or so and is working great. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a new phone case!:)

It consists of a rubber under cover and a plastic over cover which makes for good damage protection. I already dropped my phone multiple times on hard surfaces and the phone is still completely fine. The bottom does have a lack of support since there is no plastic portion due to a speaker, an aux jack and the charger port, but again I've dropped it a good bit now and it's holding up really well. I would definitely recommend this case, it's well made and at a decent price.
