Another great Fishpond product
What can I say, Fishpond makes great stuff and this is no exception. I have this attached to my Fishpond Thunderhead back pack and it mainly gets used in a salt environment. It has constant salt spray on it and it has held up great. Literally no rust and it still retracts like it did when it was new and I have been using it for a couple of years now.

Excellent product
I have been fly fishing for almost 50 years and have probably gone through dozens of Zingers. I usually have 3 on my vest at any time. This one by fish pond is a cut above anything I have ever had. It costs a bit more but is worth the price.

I love it but it broke
I love this retractor with all of my heart but it got caught on a tree and the string did snap fairly easily. Might honestly get another and try to be more careful though. Update: I noticed there are screws and repaired it in 5 minutes. Back to 5 stars

Pricey but worth it
Being loyal to fishpond is expensive but they do not disappoint with their products. This will hold up for years to come.

It has a poor quality cable that won't last any longer than much cheaper retractors
I bought this to use with my $99 Simms nippers because I had almost lost it before when the thin cable on my cheaper retractor broke. This retractor sure looks like it would last but it has the same crappy cable that didn't even last as long as the cheaper one I had before. Luckily, I was able to find my nippers.

Secure attachment for lighter weight accessories
The carabiner style attachment is great for securely fixing arrowhead to bags, fishing vest etc. Perfect for ensuring you don’t drop expensive accessories like Abel/Simms nippers in the drink while wading. Not really suitable for heavier items such as pliers but they’re not designed for that. Overall very good, neat and effective retractor.
