Perfect Kit - Medium Difficulty
This kit is amazing. This was my first miniature project and this is a hobby Iโve wanted to do for as long as I can remember. I canโt remember the last time I felt so motivated to complete something just because it brings me joy. The instructions were easy enough to follow, but having almost no experience with papercrafting, I needed my VERY EXEPRIENCED girlfriends help for a few of the flowers and other paper craft bits. The big wood pieces used for the structure were a bit warped which made final assembly a bit difficult, but I made it work! It would have been a million times easier with some clamps, so maybe get some of those before you start. I bought a small gundam/miniature toolkit, some clear Tacky glue, and a bottle of Gorilla wood glue to complete this project. It comes with some glue and tweezers, but I found it really beneficial to have some heartier tweezers and a pair of pliers and wire cutters for all of the wire work. You could complete the project without any supplemental items, but I spent < $20 to make the project a lot easier and a lot closer to the pictures. At one point I foolishly pasted the flooring to the wrong side of the floor and had to run to a craft store and lucked out that they had a piece of loose scrapbook paper that looked like tiny bricks! Finally, this is a great distraction from anything you donโt want to think about. This was a very soft landing place for my brain on good and bad days! Also, this stuff takes forever. I watched all of Downton Abbey, a whole season of Mrs. Maisel, and a myriad of Disney movies and episodes of the Good Place while working on this. Overall, this was the most fun Iโve had doing anything in a long long time. Sometimes Iโs spend more than ten hours a day working on this. Itโs hard to tear yourself away from something that makes you feel so accomplished :)

Love this brand
I love these miniatures. I have put quite a few of these together and I really like this brand. The instructions are thorough and the pieces are good quality. They fit together nicely and you still get to be a little creative if you want to where you put some of the decorations. It looks good when itโs put together and I enjoyed doing it.

Wow this was annoying and amazing.
I read the reviews about this thing being insanely time consuming and being a little difficult, but I didnโt believe them. This thing took me about 40 hours to complete. I sat at my desk determined to finish this thing. I was inhaling so much glue that this project made me crazy. (Please craft in a well ventilated area unlike I did). I consistently worked on this so much that when I finished I didnโt even want to look at it. But I love it. Itโs so beautiful and not perfect which is perfect. I am beyond impressed with all the things you have to create and so happy with all of the tools included. Some of the instructions were a little confusing and there were some spelling and grammatical errors but itโs kind of easy to figure out if you keep referencing the photos. This is your diy kit anyways so have fun with it and throw some extra โgrassโ in spots. This is a 10/10 addition to my bookcase. I will do another one of these in the future.

It did get boring
I loved building it but it was kinda boring and took at least 6 months to finish. Once it is finished it is really pretty. The details are also amazing. The quality of the stuff was nice. I would say this is a nice thing to do.

Not too hard for a beginner
Relatively easy to put together. I'm still a beginner, but I could follow the instructions easily. I did have to use glue for a lot of the assembly, rather than the double sided tape, and the plastic of the outside doesn't stay together the best, but I'm overall happy.

Very fine detail, beautiful display, high quality project
my 20 something had such a great time putting this together. It is very high quality and looks amazing. If you have someone who enjoys lego type creative things, this is a very detailed, next level model project to challenge them. She's excited to put it on display and loves all the tiny little details. It takes a committed person with tweezers to get it done.

Takes Several Days To Assemble
Got this for my 11-year-old who really enjoyed putting a bookstore kit together that was from the same company. So, I looked it up to see what other stuff they have. There was another one that we had to return cause it was too hard. This one was better to assemble, however be warned that there are lots of little pieces like flowers, plants, etc - that you have to put together and it takes time. It took my daughter several days, but it turned out nicely. The details are great.

To call it tedious to build is to be kindโฆ
This model is DEFINITELY not for kids or teens who think they might enjoy craftsโฆthis goes wayyy beyond simple model building patience. I bought this for my wife thinking sheโd enjoy doing this and it sat for over three years on the shelf before I (out of guilt) decided to tackle this myself. I soon realized our 37 year marriage wouldโve culminated into a divorce if I had forced/coerced her into building this. First, the instructions made so many assumptions that you spent way too much effort trying to resolve their illogical logic by how it was written. Second, literally 10,000 cuts later (and Iโm vastly undercounting) in the creation of every singe darn flower petal, leaf, board, stem, rug, out of tissue paper or some other derivative, etc., could send you into a mental coma or at the least, physical body cramps! Donโt get me started on the transparent sheet wrapping the frameโฆprobably the only material on earth whose surface withstands true gluing, so use it under your beer can as a teflon drink coaster instead โฆitโll work better as that than it does for this purpose. After much much muchโฆ.did I mention โmuchโ patience and rereading the instructions a thousand times to see if surely, I mustโve missed something, I got this together. I did discover that itโs probably faster (and easier) to earn a Law Degree from Harvard than the time it took to cut, paste, glue, refit, recut, reglue, reread, refit, curse and repeat in my delirious effort to make some semblance of what the image showed on the box. Iโm certain the person who built the example for the photos went through at least 20 kits before piecing together various parts of each to get it looking rightโฆof course we arenโt getting paid to do this. Itโs supposed to be challenging (it is), relaxing (the antithesis) and satisfying (if you enjoy operating in a semi-catatonic state for hours on end). All this to say, I slugged through this for a few weeks although much of it was spent simply waiting for pieces to appropriately dry just so they could break apart and force me to do it all over again. All the microscopic parts did fit okay (most of the work involved custom cutting as the kit provides little incentive or help to make this building โchoreโ easy). It required extreme diligence to tolerate the minutia of every detail needed to make it look โrightโ. For me, it got to the point rapidly that just enough was good enough as I was ecstatic when the glued parts simply stopped falling apart each time as they were drying. I ended up using Super glue near the end which worked the best but you must be extremely careful here as once on, itโs onโฆno mistakes allowedโฆwhich is almost impossible with the incredible intricacy and patience required of this kit. Iโd give it a 5 star rating for actual quality of the built house (if you do it right), but must lower the overall to 3 star based on the misleading ads that itโs a fun project for kids of any age and the fact the company couldโve made building this kit MUCH more enjoyable and pleasant by reducing all the miniature modeling needs of the plants and fabricating a hard clear plastic top and sides versus using a flimsy/clumsy material that required gluing. Still, if you enjoy crafting with your hands, have plenty of patience, can tolerate marginal instructions and have a bit (Okay, a lot) of artsy skill well beyond 4th grade, youโll have fun seeing your creation come to life. Just be aware it ISNโT anywhere near easy and donโt be disappointed if it doesnโt look like their pictureโฆin this case, the enjoyment truly is all about the journeyโฆ

Quality isn't to snuff
I have purchased one of these miniature houses kits from Rolife before but in store, i was happy i was able to order another kit online. I noticed immediately once I started putting the shelf together that the quality is garbage compare to the one I assembled before. At least several pieces have cracked and I haven't used excess pressure and I have come across my first miss match. I confirmed the numbers on the bag to the instruction manual; the piece has 4 tabs instead of three, the picture in the diagram displays 4 but the hard piece of "wood" only has space for 3 tabs... pretty disappointed considering I'm only on page 8/34 and I've come across so many issues.

Great quality and fun project
This kit is very well put together and is amazing for the price point. This is my first try at miniatures so canโt compare to others but it was way beyond my expectations in terms of quality and detail. The instruction booklet is comprehensive and well written with lots of photos and diagrams.

We love these miniature kits!
Bought this for my teenage daughter who loves doing projects like this. It is now sitting on our book shelf in the living room and we get to enjoy it every day. Some of the instructions are a little hard to follow, but after some trail and error she figured it out!

A Very Enjoyable Activity
This was soooo much fun to put together. Ive been wanting to get one of these kits for a long time and this one was on sale and I thought it was really cute, so I made the purchase. It definitely was challenging, but really satisfying. I enjoyed putting my own spin on it as well. I painted the walls yellow, used a dollhouse area rug instead of the paper one included, and turned parts of the lantern into a crystal ball, which inspired creating a table for it as well. Its a really cute set and ive already started another one!!
