The knife you never knew you needed.
The knife you never knew you always needed. Perfect for any kind of carving but a must for tritip, picana, prime rib, any slicing steak, and, of course, even the annual turkey. It’s an amazing slicer…very sharp and slides through meat with ease Its length makes storing it a minor challenge but I have opted for a magnetic knife holder and this is working perfectly. Just make sure it’s big enough.

This is a really nice knife
This is a really nice knife. It's very sharp with only a hint of flex. The thinner the blade, the easier it will cut and this can go through a dense ham like butter. Basic handle that is comfortable and easy to grip. Lightweight.

Will wow the average home user.
It's difficult to review something like this without price being a factor as it is a value / home / house knife. $30-40 more, and it could be a knife with significantly better edge retention at the same or lesser thinness. An additional $100 - even better yet (if you spend hours / days of time researching and learning, and if you're able to discern shills, gimmicks, and marketing bologna). For the home user who probably won't wash and dry it right after use; I'd say this is great! Sharp enough to shave with OOTB (out of the box). It has a great design. Rounded tip (as opposed to a Sujihiki) on a long knife can save you from stabbing an oil container or other plastic container (happened to me at work with another 10" knife, and made quite the mess). It's nice and thin with shallow consistent belly and slides nicely through meat cut horizontally. It doesn't have cullens (some call them scallops or flutes, or mistake them for Granton edge) which can make cleaning more difficult, reduces the life of the knife, and makes the blade thickness more. The handle lacks crevices, and has a good grip even when wet or oily. The Victorinox 8-10" blade safe appears to have been made with this knife in mind as it has a rounded tip that matches this knife. The blade safe doesn't hold the front part very secure, but the very tip is the only thing to contact the plastic safe when I shook it (tip isn't important to a slicing knife). That said; if you need this for a drawer; or knife roll / bag; there is a nice cheap edge guard from the same manufacturer for it.

Victorinox Cutlery 10-Inch Round Tip Slicing Knife
Two of these were purchased for gifts. This was based on my earlier purchase of one and others seeing me using it. They were so impressed these were choosen as birthday gifts from their father-in-law who asked me to obtain them for him. The knife is easy to handle, well balanced and easily slices through roasts, turkey, ham and other cuts of meat. With a little care and practice, precise cuts can easily be sliced off the roast. Uniform cut thickness is an easy function of this knife. Handle is well made and no problems noted with blade attachment. The Fibrox handle does give a slight rough holding surface which is good when handling wet cuts with moisture getting on your hands. I would recommend an occasional swipe or two on a good steel while cutting for a party or large group. This should also be done before and after cutting. The knife is sharp and the steel keeps the edge in good shape. Protect the blade while in storage and this should last a long time. I had to order from two seperate vendors with similar prices. Purchase was easy, no problems.

Does the job, bought to thin slice Italian speck.
Weight, sharpness, handle, ease of use all good. A good value compared to unknown brands. So far edge retention is good, but I will need to use the knife a lot more to be certain.

Love this knife
Love this knife. Gave it to Hubby for Father's Day. It has sliced flank steak and very soft bread beautifully. Gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because I really wish it had a sleeve so I don't lose a finger.

America test kitchens number one rated knife
This knife had great blade dimensions that are nice at 12 inches long. It is the right height for cutting larger cuts of meat and the right flexibility for keeping consistent cuts. The Granton indentations are present to allow the meat not to stick while trying to make a nice presentation. The handle is not fancy bit it is comfortable. Also for a professional grade knife, under 60 dollars you cant do any better than this one

Great Knife!!!!
I used this knife for filleting large salmon. It is excellent. It is also Swiss Army. Great handle and flexible, sharp blade which can be sharpened with a Chef’s Choice Sharpener.
