Works great, used it extensively and even though the links eventually were severed by some off shots they did last awhile. I recommend putting the bolt through then placing the washers and nuts on the opposite side of the plate you want to hit. This will minimize the damage to the washers and nuts. Spalling will take chunks out of the screw's threads and the washers/nuts making them almost unusable so keep that in mind. Just keeping everything on the opposite side of the one you're going to shoot at and it will last much longer. The chains and screws are NOT AR500 steel so keep that in mind. Great product though for 7 or 8 USD.

Great bundle. Easy to set up. The only negative that I can think of for this product is when threading the nylon nut 3/4 down the bolt (not even a real negative, just being lazy) . The bolt does have a 3/16 Allen key at the end of the bolt. The picture attach shows the Allen key. The other picture I attached is a plate that was shot by a 40 from about 10 - 15 yards away. The bolt head did not sustain any damage. I did not shoot the chain like the other reviewer so I cannot comment on the durability of the chain.

I was being lazy and decided to order this kit instead of going to get the parts store locally. I bought this along with the AR500 8" as a kit. Like that it does angle it down some to aim the ricochet towards the ground.I ended up shooting the chain off the carriage bold, ended up bending the washers backwards and slipping through the chain. At first I thought I shot a link off.. but they had the same amount of links on both sides…. by the end of the day, we actually shot a link off the chains.I took the parts list to the local hardware store and was able to put another set together for the same price with extra parts (washer/nut/lock nuts). I ended up buying additional 1' chain sections just in case... for a couple bucks more ($3-5) than this kit, I have extra parts...But for the price, it was good to get me started...

Work very well. I use the 550 steel targets and have shot em even with a friend’s AR and not even a dent

This is good quality hardware for hanging a a target. I bought it for a 20" x 11", 3/4 inch a peice of AR500 steel. I have only taken a few shots at this thing but it seems to be hanging solidly.This saved me a lot of time. I could have gone to the hardware store and purchased everything i needed to mount my target, but it probably would have taken a couple trips to get exactly what i needed. I also would have spent more at my local hardware store as I priced it

Sure, you can drive to the hardware store and assemble the same kit. Save a few bucks. But this kit is all you need delivered to your door. Quality materials. This kit has taken a few direct hits so far. The only issue so far has been a broken chain link after taking a direct hit from a .30 cal round. Easily repairable.

Heavy duty and can withstand big rounds. Have not tried with the .50 cal
