Peckish 60053068 3 Port Seed and Nyjer seed Feeder, Green

I like the shape of this bird feeder, and the large capacity means I don’t have to fill it up every day. There are just two points that I would like to highlight that could be improved. 1). The hanging loop needs to be a little bit longer, as in order to place it on one of the hanging sites I have to tip it on its side, which means seed falls out of the ports. The other option is to unscrew the top, place that on first, then try to screw the body back on, which can be a little difficult. 2). The little tray underneath is a good idea to capture falling seed, but it needs to be a greater diameter with a higher lip, as the tray soon fills up with seed, then starts falling to the ground, defeating its objective. I have overcome this problem by attaching large plant saucers underneath, which have cured this problem. I hope these small oversights can be rectified in the future.

I have other Peckish feeders at home especially the RTU ones in the past, and they are simple to use, feel robust, easy to refill and do the job well. This one is much the same, I appreciate the larger seed capacity which is great because the previous one I was using I had to refill every 2 days! The three ports gives extra flexibility for more birds to perch. The ports can also be switched from seed to Nyjer mode very easily and has a tray at the bottom that can capture dropped seeds, so it does help with mess a bit. Could also be used for a wide range of things like seed, pellets, mealworms etc.Two things that could have been improved are 1) if they made the seed tray a bit bigger seems it only contains the mess somewhat and I still have stuff dropped to the floor. The tray is about the same diameter as the main feeder and 2) make the handles from metal and not plastic. Since I hang mine in a tree the squirrels attempt to get their hands on the seed and started to chew the handle off. I've since reinforced it with metal picture wire but this should be standard across all their feeders in my opinion. Aside from that, a great purchase and would recommend!

Great quality my favourite rocket feeders

Great little bird feeder to hang from a tree and doesn't cost the earth. Works for small birds and defeats the pigeons. The squirrels also can't get this one and believe me they have tried so would highly recommend!

They have cheapened these and they are not as good as they were. The parts do not screw together very well and the smaller base/perch ring make them awkward for some birds. I have ended up using the old top and bottom on the new middle. They look better with the fresh middle…

These last longer than most other plastic feeders. Easier to fill as well. The seed is available right at the bottom so doesn’t waste as much either. The weak spot seems to be the perch which would be better being thicker to add strength. However, will continue to buy these in preference to other makes.

This had only been in use for 3 weeks when the plastic hanging loop broke. As a result the base shattered when it hit the wall below. I'm returning for a refund but the seller is deducting postage costs, so I won't get a full refund - very disappointing.

This is one of the best feeders I have purchased. As feeders go it isn't expensive. It is plastic but so easy to clean, both the top and bottom unscrew for it to be washed. The attachment inside allows for either sunflower hearts or nyger seeds which I prefer to use. I haven't tried it with everyday seeds. I have many goldfinches, green finches and tits who have no problem feeding from it. Highly recommend it over some of the more expensive feeders I have bought in the past.
