Are you called to care?
Excellent book for nurses , nursing students, and instructors who are called to be nurses or those who need encouragement and self-evaluation in their calling or vocation. It is great idea to add to the nursing curriculum as a Christian worldview of nursing or caring.

A COMPELLING PARADIGM FOR NURSING
This is a well written argument for an all new paradigm in the nursing (and even doctoring) profession. Shelley makes a strong case that the healing power of God, as demonstrated by Christ, Jesus and practiced today by many, can play an important role in the care of ill patients and the medical profession needs to embrace this healing power, not reject it or bar it from being accessible to patients. It is a touching and very compelling account of two nurses' careers that were impacted by what they learned of this healing power.

This is an amazing product and it came in on a timely fashion
This is an amazing product and it came in on a timely fashion! I have read through the first chapter and I am taking my time reading, processing and digesting all the information. These two writers have really captured the essence of Nursing as a calling and vocation as opposed to being "just" a profession... very well researched and written!! Overall, I am very, very pleased with it all.

Ok Read
The book is very detailed and in-depth, and it is rich with detailed Christian worldviews. I have not finished reading it for my class but I am looking forward to finishing it at a later date.

Nursing--a God-called service for others
A gift for a nurse in the family. She feels like she is definitely called into nursing to care for others in a hospital situation. When she saw the book, she exclaimed that it was perfect for her. Since that was Christmas Eve, she hasn't had time to read it yet, but she flipped through it and commented that the Christian aspect of service to humanity and God is completely compatible with her views and feelings and let me know that she appreciates the gift very much. The content looked well laid out and covered every aspect of the nursing profession as it relates to the difference between those who practice nursing for monetary gain and those who nurse with every intent to aid patients to health and wholeness and the monetary compensation is secondary. The book was shipped to me timely and arrived in perfect condition.

A great book
This book has helped me incorporate my Christian view into my nursing practice. I believe it could help anyone in a professional caring role to incorporate Christianity into your work. I have grown in my spiritual walk after having read this book. I have enjoyed sharing it with other practitioners as well
