Juicing as a guide for your foray into better health!
This is a fascinating book which is both highly informative and practical for the common user. I learned about the benefits of juicing, which I knew very little about—which include an improved immune system, a healthier digestive system, improved cognition, elevated energy levels, and many long-term benefits in the prevention of disease and cancer. As a young person with Crohn’s Disease (an immune disorder affecting the colon), I am very inspired to take these new steps to improve my health, in ways that my doctor cannot advise me about. As I’m sure many of us have found, the medical establishment has a limited understanding of holistic care, including dietary choices (except for “don’t eat this”). This book gives a positive answer to your health concerns. You can use Juicing as a guide into your foray to greater health. In this book you get information both about the nutritional value of different foods, and practical recipes to meet every type of health need (increased libido, protection from cancer/heart disease, energy, whatever!)

i love this book and i love jucing!!
I love this book and I love juicing so this was a win, win for me! lots of recipes to choose from too. But, I loved the way this book was set up, with lots of information such as, what combination of fruit and veggie are best, which nutrients the body needs and when, and what to juice to eliminate toxins. I'm telling you its packed with essentials that you might not think about prior to a juicing lifestyle. did you know when detoxing you can have some side effects the first few days; and if you’re taking meds, juicing may not be right for you if need to take it with fiber-based foods to release the medicine. It talks about juicing’s true purpose: to give the body a break from the hard work of digesting solid foods. This is truly a fabulous book!**I received this book to read and review and this review is 100% my own opinion!!

Great information and introduction to the world of juicing!
"Juicing for Health" begins by explaining the health benefits of juicing and answers the question "Why juice?". The author takes you through a tour of the different types of juicing technology and answers some common questions. I thought the section detailing herbs, fruits and vegetables was very interesting. Each is described with sections on "Health Benefits" and "Healers" (vitamins and minerals present).The section on juice cleansing is informative and realistic. It stresses the importance of preparing for a cleanse and not just diving in. This information is followed by some example plans that you may follow for your cleanse.The book contains many recipes which have an introductory paragraph, ingredients, and directions. This is followed by a section of ingredients that carry out the same function as the recipe (e.g. reduce LDL cholesterol or treat sinus problems). There are a huge variety of health areas addressed - everything from preparing for the gym to fighting cancer! I don't think there is anyone that couldn't find a recipe of interest in this book! Juicing for a better mood? It's in there!Overall, "Juicing for Health" is informative and well worth a read if you have an interest in juicing and care about your health. Recommended! I received this book in an exchange for an honest review and all opinions are 100% my own.

This book gives all information on equipment (juicers) (pro & con) to juice with and very concise information on fruits and vegetables. There are many recipes and juicing remedies to help with many diseases and chronic ailments. Many are geared to cleansing and detoxing your body. This book is 2473 pages long. This will tell you how encompassing the juicing for health book is. It lists every fruit and vegetable you can think of, some I've never heard of, and how the concoctions of fruits and vegetables can be mixed together to target many ailments, from low-energy to cancer.Juicing for Health lists many, many medical problems and the recipe to pinpoint these particular ailments. All in all this is the most complete juicing book I have ever seen.My rating: Five Stars.

Packed with Awesome Info!
I loved the way this book was set up, with information such as what kind of fruit and veggie combinations are best, choosing the right type of blender (details of a few were covered), which nutrients the body needs and when, and what to juice to eliminate toxins. It’s packed with essentials that one might not think about prior to embarking on the juicing lifestyle, like the fact that detoxing can have some side effects the first few days; and if you’re taking meds, juicing may not be right for you if need to take it with fiber-based foods to release the medicine. It talks about juicing’s true purpose: to give the body a break from the hard work of digesting solid foods.I appreciated the frankness regarding weight loss while juicing. People assume you’ll automatically lose weight because you’re not eating calorie-laden solids, but we’re informed that, depending on what kinds of juices you’re making, you may not lose because of high caloric intake. It also speaks to the fact that juicing to merely lose weight isn’t really recommended long term, and when/if you discontinue juicing, weight gain can happen. I definitely recommend this book.
