I have another set of open earbuds similar to these from another brand that begins with B. I'm primarily going to give the pros and cons of these Beyerdynamic Amiron Zeros to the other pair. I don't listen to earphones/earbuds for more than six hours at a time. These lasted me six hours with battery life to spare. I do listen at very low volumes though. They feel as durable as the other B earbuds, and the case is actually better built. They do not allow for wireless charging of the case though. Pros: The soundstage is outstanding for earbuds. The EQ in the app is very effective in tailoring the sound to my preference. The wearing sensor is very good at detecting when you pull one of them off, and it pauses the audio. The treble in particular can sound amazing on much of the music I listen to. The bass is very deep and moving. Overall, these sound better to me than the other B open earbuds. However, there are plenty of cons to the Amirons that don't plague the other B's. Cons: The tap controls almost never work. It is SO frustrating. You cannot adjust the volume with the touch controls. The minimum volume of the Amirons is not quiet enough. At the lowest volumes, bass is too over-emphasized for my taste. The Amirons block the ear canal more than the other B's do, removing some of the awareness gained by the open design. The price is considerably lower than the other B's. Considering the great sound quality of these, I consider them a good value. I hope that Beyerdynamic is able to fix the tap controls via a firmware update. The controls really are infuriating to try to use. If you don't rely on on-device controls, I highly recommend these. However, if on-device controls are important to you, I do NOT recommend them as you are likely to be disappointed. As they are, I rate them a 3.5/5, which will round up to 4.
