Vibrant colors but can stain molds
Makes a great shiny chromed finish to epoxy resin projects weather it is stirred into the resin or painted into the mold. I feel painting into the mold gives a bolder chrome finish while mixing into the resin gives a more holographic chrome finish. THESE WILL STAIN YOUR MOLDS if painted directly on to the mold! It doesn't seem to affect how future items made in the stained mild come out.

THE VERDICT: I CAN SEE MYSELF IN THE WOOD
Listen, I didn't buy this 16-color "nail" set because I’m starting a side hustle in a salon. I’m out here in the shop trying to make wood look like it was pulled out of a supernova. If you’re a maker, stop scrolling. This is the secret sauce. THE REAL-WORLD TEST I took the Deep Blue and the Silver and massaged them into some live-edge crevices before pouring the resin. The Result: My workbench now looks like a portal to another dimension. The Problem: The finish is so reflective that when I leaned over to check the cure, I scared myself. I haven't seen my own face that clearly since the "great beard trimming incident" of '08. WHY IT BEATS THE HARDWARE STORE STUFF A Little Goes a Mile: These jars are small, but they’re packed tighter than a suitcase on a budget airline. A tiny dusting in your resin mix turns a boring pour into a metallic masterpiece. The "Holo" Factor: The holographic powders don't just "shimmer"—they throw rainbows across the shop walls. It’s like having a disco ball made of Canary wood. Compatibility: Mixed it with deep-pour resin and used it as a surface rub on a Lichtenberg-burned piece. It bonded better than a Texan to a brisket. FIELD OBSERVATIONS Warning: Using this will make the rest of your shop look dusty and disappointing by comparison. Pro Tip: Wear a mask, or you’ll be sneezing "Rose Gold" for three days. My kitten walked through a dusting of the Emerald Green and now he looks like a very expensive, very confused garden gnome. The Cleanup: It’s fine pigment. It gets everywhere. My Xbox controller now has a permanent "Mirror Chrome" finish. I'm not even mad; it looks custom. FINAL RATING 5/5 Stars. It’s advertised for nails, but it’s built for the shop. If you want your woodworking projects to look like they were commissioned by a tech billionaire with an ego, get this kit. Just be prepared to spend ten minutes staring at your own reflection in a coffee table. Stay Gritty. Stay Shiny.

Grainy look
Used the green and gold and they both looked pretty grainy and not like a mirror. A bit disappointed but the colors were nice and vibrant.

If you have not used these powders, you're not using the right ones!
I started following Baltic-Day on Instagram a few months ago. When I saw them promoting their mica powders I was curious so I thought I'd give them a try. I've been dabbling with resin, which has now become an obsession with my art. I trucked on over to Amazon and bought their 24 pack. Their powders are very vivid. They even give you a little gold spoon, which I thought was a nice touch. When I began using mica powders I started with no name brand and compared the colors with the Baltic - Day and WOW, what a difference. I am posting some pics of some of my latest pieces. I don't have before and after pictures (Sorry), but you can at least see the what the results are when you use the powders. The table is a re-pour. It had bubbles in it from my first pour. (Literally the first pour I ever ) so I sanded it down and re-poured it with added a smidge of gold, and a tiny three oz cup of the brown with the rest of the pour being clear epoxy resin. It looks amazing! The Cheese board is a combo of colors. Red mica mixed with AI inks of Crimson and acrylic True red, grey mix with silver, black acrylic paint and white mica powder. A-FreakingMazing! And the Tray is a project that I am still working on but is All resin with Silver, Black, White and Gold Mica powders, mixed with resin. Loved the results. These are a must buy! You'll love them Watch their videos on mixing to get different color schemes for sure! And follow on Instagram for good ideas! You really can't go wrong. P.S. I have also used the the powders with a couple different types of resin/epoxy mixes and have had exceptional results with all of them. Go on Now, go order....All of the colors!
