This telescope is good for beginners. It took some time to install it, but it’s easy to use by following the instructions. They show great interested in it. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Great personal kids telescope. Not great family telescope. *by K***. on March 6, 2019* It was super easy to assemble and use. My problem was that the tripod's height can't be adjusted. Therefore, you have to stand it on something unless you want to lay on the ground. This made it hard for me to find a focus point. I would recommend for a small child. My 6 yr was sad that I am returning it. I have no use for a family telescope that only a small child can use. Perfect for young children, not so much for older kids and adults. My 5' 6" 14 yo old found it annoying to use. The rubber on the bottom of the legs can easily come off so you'll need to be aware of that. It seems well made and very kid friendly. The telescope is made of aluminum and plastic. The lenses are plastic. It's very lightweight and easy to carry in the bag. It's a great option for a young child to have their own telescope and get them interested. A very beginner telescope. If you are looking for a good family telecsope, I would check out other options. The only reason I'm returning it is because I only need one 1 telescope. You do pay return shipping so be aware of that when considering this. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good for the price. *by N***Y on October 8, 2018* It works really well, exactly what my 7 year old son needs. Only thing that is a bit of a bummer, is the stand is so small. We have to prop it up on a table to get a good view.
