Review: Great mech for the price - Update: After almost a full year the keyboard is still performing like new for me. I've only needed to plug it in to charge maybe once a month, all the keys are perfectly responsive, all colors illuminate on all keys, and I can find nothing to complain about. Indeed, I'm not sure whether it's because I've acclimated to the feel of this keyboard or because the switches are getting broken in, but I find typing on this keyboard effortless and highly enjoyable. I suspect the people complaining about bad battery life are overcharging. I never leave mine plugged longer than overnight. Original review: This keyboard's Outemu Brown switches produce a more obvious tactile bump than the Cherry MX Browns on my Das Keyboard at work, and so require slightly more pressure to activate. That's not to say these aren't still light touch keys, though. I can still type on them at a normal speaking tempo without bottoming out on my keystrokes. They require noticeably less force to actuate than my wife's Cherry MX Speed Silvers on her Corsair K70. At the moment, these Outemus make the tactile bump in the Cherry MX Browns at work feel almost accidental by comparison (which I've always experienced as more of a vague scrape than a tactile bump anyway). We'll see whether that's still true after a couple months' break-in. (Edit: After 3 months, the tactile bump is still significantly more pronounced on the Outemu Browns than on Cherry MX Browns. **Q: Is this keyboard hot-swappable?**
A: It is not hot-swappable. I mistakenly ordered this keyboard believing that it was. I assure you it is not.

**Q: Any option for a replacement dongle?**
A: I know this is almost no help, but I can confirm that the Logitech Unifying Receiver does not pair with this keyboard.  I know of no universal option.

**Q: Did the company look up the definition of kludge before they named this product?**
A: Haha well it lives up to its name, and then some.

**Q: Will any type c usb cable work w/ this keyboard?**
A: My keyboard came with a USB type C to USB type A cable as of Oct 1, 2021. Theoretically, any type C cable should work with this keyboard.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid.

Features: Outemu Brown mechanical switches, NKRO, 2.4GHz wireless, "16.8m" color RGB (courtesy of several lighting effects). What it gets right: * Outemu Brown switches actually feel pretty decent. A connoisseur will know and feel the difference between Cherry MX browns and these, but most people won't notice- much less actually be bothered. * 2.4 GHz with a dedicated USB receiver. I play Apex Legends (Diamond), Rocket League (Champion II), and other games that are highly sensitive to input latency, and thus far have not noticed any additional latency versus my Logitech G810. * USB-C connector for charging. Kinda meh: * Battery life isn't bad, but it's not really impressive either. For a mechanical board with NKRO and RGB lighting, it's about what I'd expect (4 hours with RGB lights enabled and on brightest settings). * Power switch is on the back of the board, instead of on a side or front. Annoying but not a deal breaker. * The included USB-C cable isn't anything to write home about. The bad: * The battery charge indicator is on the left of the spacebar's key switch and only lights up when the board is not yet fully charged or is literally about to die. It's red and not very bright, making it hard to see even when looking at the keyboard. You will not notice it if the battery indicator comes on while you're gaming, and it only comes on when the board is within minutes of shutting off. This board has shut off on me a few times during gaming sessions. * Caps lock indicator, and one other LED indicator on the board are white only. I have no idea what the other LED indicator is for. * This board pings like a muppet. Not sure if it's the empty space between the PCB and the back plate, the backplate and the casing, or something else, but it is metallic and loud. It's especially noticeable with the larger keys (1.5u and larger). If you don't game with a headset, you will notice this out of the box. * RK's app is the purest form of hot garbage, and doesn't even open when I attempt to use it on my primary gaming rig. Overall, I feel it's worth $55. This board performs as expected or better, with its drawbacks mostly only being annoying. The fact that it's mechanical, wireless, TKL, and has RGB lighting far outweighs the issue with the board's charge indicator being nearly imperceptible.
