This is a Rolls Royce of a raclette machine. Having tried a couple of the tea light heated types that are a wste of time, this has enough heat to feed eight people simultaneously with not just raclettes, but also anything from a fried breakfast to simple mushrooms and tomatoes using the marble of grill top. In fact, there is no limit as to what you can cook. Not only is it easy to use, but also easy to clean. One word of warning though, it does get very hot so make sure your table is well protected . Cannot recommend this enough.

Despite a last minute delivery issue (Amazon -I’m looking at you confusing our rural location with someone else), this arrived in time for us to enjoy it immediately for a meal with good friends. We used the metal plate for quickness first time as we were all hungry. It cooked everything quickly and evenly and the temperature control was useful. One tip is to make sure you have good mats and keep table items at a distance as it does throw out some heat! Steak in strips, squares of fresh tuna and already-boiled potatoes cooked best. The cheese melted quickly underneath. We haven’t quite got the hang of how to best cut up other vegetables to cook evenly. A good recipe or ideas book packaged with this would be ideal. It washed really easily and it did again when we used it with the stone top. It was a good price when purchased and I think we’ll get value out of it for years to come.

This raclette grill works really well. The machine didn’t come with spatulas - I bought the ones shown in the photo separately. I especially appreciated the fact that every place under the grill seemed to heat at the same intensity meaning everyone’s cheese was ready at the same time. I also liked the fact it didn’t overwhelm the table with heat (our last one did). Perhaps the wood casing insulated it a bit. It was very easy to clean the pans after use (though the machine is still new so I’d expect that).

This is not what I was hoping for as it is heavy for me to move and not the nicest looking thing to have sat on the kitchen side. I did not use the machine and returned it the next day.
