In position 2 you can wind the watch (untwisted crown), in position 3 (crown is unscrewed and pushed) you can change date. To fast date changing you can use 8-12-8 method (move the hands clockwise to change the date at 12, after that - counterclockwise to 8 and back again clockwise to 12. I have small wrists so the size of the case was appealing for me. So far I've been using it a lot, you need to wind it everyday because its reserve is small but isn't really annoying. Like other users mention when you adjust it the first time the crown and its shaft feel wobbly, not solid, like its broken but it's made just like that for some reasons. The band that it comes with its the only bad characteristic of it feels cheap and probably won't last long if used everyday, however there are plenty of leather bands and nato straps around to customize it. That's why I gave it 4 stars.
