The XG Series... the Best Filter for the Money. Period.
Review for the Fram XG3506S Ultra Synthetic Premium Filter: This XG series synthetic filter is one of the few outstanding oil filters on the market today. The latest version of this XG filter is not wire-backed, but it still contains an outstanding synthetic filtering media, metal end-caps, a silicone anti-drainback valve, and a textured surface for easier install and removal. This filter is perfect for those wanting one of the best filters on the market, for those who need a filter that operates in a harsh environments like extreme heat or cold and towing. I use these on my Alaskan Chevy Silverado, along with all synthetic fluids throughout the truck in our extreme cold environment. If you want the best at a reasonable price, the XG series cannot be beat. The equivalent others cost too much.
