Sounds great and last. Buying another set after 8 years of use. Had one that went bad. They have been weathered the entire time I’ve had them. Would recommend!

I wrote the same review for matching speakers in a different size. We have a set in the cock pit and another on the aft deck. If you want to have a concert off of your boat, then these speakers might not be for you, but for average boating use they are as good as any others I've heard or used for around the same price. A good audio system with control over base and reverb will make more of a difference than going up in price to find a better sound. We have had many systems over the years and I rate these as adequate for listening to music on your boat, floating off the boat nearby or on land if your boat is small enough to beach. Are they the best sound quality you can find? No - but that isn't what you are paying for either. For us, they are just what we needed.

First of all, this is NOT the audiophile equipment that Pyle made in years gone past. The name seems to have been purchased by a Chinese company. Having said this, I just needed inexpensive water-resistant audio for my boat. I bought a cheap Pyle head unit, and got these to match. They are NOT 40 ounce magnets on these speakers. They are plastic frame Chinese junk, but they sound ok and are reasonably loud when attached to the Pyle "300 watt" head unit. As many others have said, if you are looking for high quality sound, these will not be what you want to purchase. If, however, you just want to hear some music without spending a boatload of dough, these should suit you well. I like them, for what they are.

Just installed them on my boat yesterday. They looked excellent, and performed much, much better than expected. I was skeptical and didnot expected much on their great performance due to cheap price. Each speaker is rated at 130 watts peak (about 75-90 watts RMS), and I paired / pushed them with a 2-channel (75 watts RMS per channel) Blaupunkt amplifier. They sounded teriffic. Now I love them. My brother spent well over $1000.00 for a system on his boat, but when he listened to my cheapy set up with this pair of Pyle 6x9 speaker, he was thrilled and very pleased with the sound quality of this Pyle speaker. He is very regretted and feels bad when his system was not sounded any much better than mine. I would highly recommend this Pyle speakers to anyone who is looking for a great sound quality, good looking, and especially cheap price.

Great speakers would buy again if needed. Great for outdoor riding things like atvs boats and utv

well, i have a jeep wrangler, so i need waterproof electronics and accessories. i replaced 2 sony xplode 6 x 9 speakers with these waterproof pyle speakers, and to tell you the truth, i'm a little disappointed. the sonys were not waterproof or outdoor speakers, but even after being in the weather for 2 years, they sounded better than these pyle speakers. now, saying that, i'm not discouraging you to purchase these, just stating the facts. i have them installed in 2 bxes, just like the sony, and i dont get the base, nor the high range (but i expected the high end b/c these are 2 way). these seem to be pretty tough, but the screws that come with should have been stainless steel b/c they rusted out pretty quickly. just fyi ALRIGHTY THEN!! BLEW THE LEFT SPEAKER LAST WEEK ANS THEN THE RIGHT ONE TODAY!! THE SPEAKERS LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE SOME SORT OF LITTLE CAPASITOR UNTERNEATH THE TWEETER HORN,,,SO I'M ASSUMING IT IS A CROSSOVER(?)...WHENEVER IT 'LEFT', SO DID ALL THE SOUND IN LEFT SIDE.....BUT I DONT WANNA WAKE UP YOUR NEIGHBORS BY INSTALLING NEW SHIT AND THEN JAMMING OUT!!! THE RIGHT SIDE SPEAKER DIDNT LOSE CAPASISTOR BUT JUST BLUE! I DONT HAVE BUT A 100 WATT AMP, SO I'M VERY CONFIDENT THAT THEY BLEW FOR THOTHER ONE, STILL HAS CAPASITOR//// ALSO, I HAVE THESE MOUNTER IN SPEAKER BOXES THAT I COVERED THE INSIDE AND OUT WITH RUSTOLEUM BRAND FLEXIBLE PLASTIC SPRAY AND THEN TOPPED OFF WITH SPRAY ON BED LINER... THE ENTIRE TUB ON JEEP IS DONE IN SPRAY ON BED LINER, SO THE BOXES KINDA BLEND....... BTW, THE INSIE OF SPEAKERS, LIKE THE PART OF SPEAKER THAT GOES INSIDE THE ACUTAL BOX, STARTED CORRODING WITHIN A MONTH AND TODAY, THEY CONNECTIONS ALMOST DIDNT GET EM OFF.... SO, I DROPPED MY ORIGINAL 3 STAR REVIEW, DOWN TO A 1 STAR REVIEW.......THESE SPEAKERS WOULD COST MORE TO SHIP BACK AND REPAIR THEN THEY ARE WORTH !!! NOW IF PYLE SENDS ME A PREPAID STICKER AND TELLS ME WHAT, WHERE, WHEN AND HOW TO SEND BACK, AFTER THEY SEND ME REPLACEMENT SET. ALONG WITH RMA AND PREPAID LABEL.........NOW IF THEY DO AGREE TO THAT, I'LL GIVE THE RATING A BETTER ONE.. DO NOT BUY THESE SPEAKERS IF YOU USE IN BOAT B/C OF NOT USING STAINLESS STEEL SCREWNS? SO, THESE ARE THE 2ND SET OF PYLE BRAND SPEAKERS THAT I AM THROWING IN TRASH AND ORDERED POLK AUDIO BRAND....SPEND A LITTLE EXTRA AND DO WITHOUT HEARTACHE!!
