What is the difference between original and hot or cold styles?

Hi R.G. The only difference is from whom you are buying this product. If you chose the original, you are buying directly from Lansinoh via Amazon. Buying directly from us gives you better opportunities for the product to be in compliance and for Amazon or us to reply back to you in case of any unexpected circumstances with our product. The Hot and Cold version is the TheraPearl being sold by third-party sellers. Some of them authorized by us and some not.

Are these considered moist or dry heat?

The therapies can be used cold or it can be used hot- where you would put the item in the microwave to heat. It’s the customers preference on how they want to use. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact Customer Service at custserv@kidsstuff.com or 800-922-7397.

I can't get mine warm enough. Tips?

It is microwaveable and should warm after a few seconds in the microwave . It is capable of getting very hot, if it’s not getting warm try a few more seconds .

Can it be used without the cover?

A prolonged application may cause injury, including burns. Do not use on infants. Do not use if you have poor circulation. Do not use heat therapy on stitches or an open wound. Do not fall asleep using the packs. For extreme, prolonged, or chronic pain, contact a physician. Use only as directed. Heating beyond suggested time may damage or destroy the THERAPEARL pack. Do not puncture pack and/or ingest contents. For external use only. Do not place soft covers in microwave.
