Chemical Guys, Clay Block V2 & Clay Super Lube Kit for Paint Prep, 16 oz

Second set of this I’ve purchased sine the first one lasted great and effective. I prefer this over traditional clay so when I drop it I rinse and proceed. The lube is great and the block just love it and gets the surface clean as glass.

Used this on a black Corvette, exceptional outcome and highly recommended. As you may know, black is probably the most difficult color to work with, as it tends to have micro scratches. It takes a little bit of elbow grease, but the results are excellent.

First off this was my first time clay-baring a car/my car. The product was easy to use, i was worried about scratching my paint because of the other reviews. However i started gentle, then worked my away around the car. It was a learning process for me and didnt add any new scratches that werent already there. I did end up using all the lube spray, use alot in the begining...learning then got better as i worked around the car. The bar does it job and when it got to dirty, i sprayed the bar and rubbed it on my window and it was clean from all the dirt. Overall the product works well, and now i have a clay bar for the next few cleanings. I will have to buy more spray lube for the next cleaning. I will say using this product with my 2016 WRX in the city that i wash maybe every 2 to 3 weeks. It did a good job at getting the paint feeling smooth and ready for wax.

First of all, I never write reviews so Chemical Guys are special I suppose. I had never used a clay block before so I was some-what hesitant at first. This clay block is amazing! I absolutely could not believe how it brought back an awesome shine on a Black Expedition. It's like brand new !! Note: you will need two bottles of spray for a Ford Expedition (or at least I did) I did all my windows too. Chemical guys: I am impressed.

Great product. The clay bar is easier to use than a clay bar and your less likely to drop it. Very easy to clean too. I could see the clay bar lasting for several vehicles. The clay luber worked well but I used up the whole bottle on my grand Cherokee. So if you have a bigger car I’d suggest getting extra. Also, I wish I went with the heavier clay. I got the light/medium and it wasn’t quite enough to get the really stuck stuff off. I have a 2014 and this was the first time claying it so the gunk was pretty well baked in.

I tried this product on a car with a moderate level of embedded contaminates and no oxidation. This was my first time using synthetic clay. I started on the hood and found the applicator easy to handle and overall, the directions were clear and effective. I completed half of the hood and there was some improvement but not what I expected. From the results, I went over the treated half of the hood a second time with no noticeable improvement. Next, I used my actual clay bar kit on the other half of the hood which was not treated with this product. After a single application of the clay bar, it was perfectly smooth while the side treated twice with the synthetic clay applicator still had rough spots. Clearly, actual clay bar is more effective at removing embedded contaminates. It takes about the same amount of time to apply the two products and they are priced about the same. Perhaps the only advantage this product has is more uses from the applicator than an clay bar that diminishes over a few uses. For my money and time, I will stick with traditional clay.

I went through a local car wash 2X and grime still remained on the right side of car and roof. The manager of the car wash told me to get a clay brick. I bought this one because of the included lubricant. I used it right away and got off that grime. It was easy to use did the right side of car in less than 10 minutes. From now on I will keep my car in the garage. I will also not park under a tree again. Thanks for such a great product.

Fue mi primera vez descontaminando mi auto y realmente fue fácil con este clay block. La diferencia con la clay bar es que si se te cae la puedes seguir usando tu porque no se le pega la suciedad y que es un poco menos agresiva para el descontaminado, entonces si tienen un auto muy contaminado tal vez necesiten una clay bar de grado medio. También tengan en cuenta que el clay luber dura para sólo un auto chico/mediano.

This product is way better than a clay bar. The block distributes pressure across the entire surface while a clay bar is is limited to the pressure by 3-4 fingers. This gets the job done in 20-25% of the time, no exaggeration. If you drop it on the ground, just rinse it off. If you run out of luber, just use really soapy slick car wash soap. Supposed to last for around 20 uses.

Not pleased with product. The size of clay soap shown in picture is totally different than what I received. 95 % of total area of soap is foam. Clay layer is very thin.
