Cutest story for teaching social skills

Simple and entertaining
My son LOVES all of these books. These are his go to bedtime stories because they're entertaining for him and at just 5 he can already read them to me with assistance.

Beautiful and fun books!
We have Bassets and our youngest is just as silly as Charlie. The books are beautifully illustrated, and I've sent all 3 to my grandsons. I've sent the first reader to my older grandson since he's in first grade and reading to his younger brother. I look forward to more Charlie Books.

Great stories about Charlie
I really enjoy this series. There are many valuable lessons in this series. I really enjoy the great art work and attention to detail in the book. The reading level is relatively easy and the story lines are interesting. I enjoy reading the stories to my niece and enjoy listening to my young niece read it to me.

Simple but entertaining
It's adorable, I love Bassets anyway, I wish they'd had these books when I was a kid. After I read them, I give them to a School Librarian friend of mine, and the kids ask her to read the "Charlie" books again and again. No one stays angry or left out in these books, excellent reading, promotes positive group values for kids. Judy in Fresno

Charlie The Ranch Dog
This is a good book, but it seems a little difficult for Level One reading. I expected the words to be simpler. But I'm sure my new young readers will grow into it. We like all the Charlie books a lot.

Fun for beginner readers
My daughter loved this book a lot. It was very touching. She loved that she was able to read and that this book was about dogs.
