I have a heavy duty sheet steel snipper that can cut solid steel thicker than this cable and I barely managed to so its no joke strong. The directions were good, but this is not an easy item to install. The cable is definitely strong, my husbands wire cutters could not cut it so he used the Dremel. We have very light curtains (4) hanging and The cable is sagging slightly but we have it crossing a very long window. Overall we are happy with it.
