It works!
If you've got 30+ yr old lights with broken mounting screw, this will fix it. I was told to use one, but could only get it tight with two - one on opposing sides. They're not difficult to use. Just pull the mount screw, insert the wedge screw, then tighten about 3/4 of the way. Add the 2nd wedge in the same way on the opposite side (or as close to opposite as you have a hole. The only difficulty is trying to keep the rounded portion of the wedge 8n contact with the light. I was able to do it by starting at the side farthest from me, and tightening it slowly into place about 90% of the way. Then I set the other side fully tight, and then finally fully tightened the opposite side. Now my lights are tight (yay!), BUT - be aware that original mount screw was also the ground path if there is ever a short in the light. So the fixture is now tight but less safe. To address this, I attached a long piece of copper wire so it contacts the metal housing. You may have to get creative here, but a good idea not to just skip it.
