I really hope this holds up outside because its so pretty!! i just think the foam and such could be covered by stones or marbles...

For the price I doubt you can do better. I've had mine for three years and it still works. I wasn't concerned with minor imperfections when I unboxed it...it's made of resin and came out of a mold after all--and it's designed for indoor or outdoor use--so at this price it's not a work of fine art. Mine did look more light gray than tan or beige but I don't mind. If you're unlucky enough to get one with a broken pump or missing piece, just send it back for a replacement and go on with life.I've only had to clean mine three times, and I don't add bleach or anything because my cat drinks from it; however, I use distilled water instead of tap water which helps. The inside reservoir is difficult to scrub, even with a toothbrush or OXO Deep Clean Brush, because of the shape and small opening. The sponge over the water outlet is glued on and a piece of mine ripped off when I was cleaning it. Now the sound of the water falling is louder than when it was new. It'd be nice if they could find a way to secure the sponge while making it removable for cleaning (or replacement), or if they would supply 2-3 extras so if you ever had to remove the original you'd have a perfect replacement to glue in yourself.If you want to minimize the sound of the pump (especially when set to max flow) you need to make sure it's fully submerged. It can be challenging to get it to lie flat on the bottom because the back opening is so small. Since my cat drinks from this fountain I add water to the front every few days until the level's just above the round outlet. The outlet's a bit high (close to the maximum water level), so sometimes in an effort to keep the pump quiet I overfill it and water spills over a few minutes later. It's a bit annoying, but I'm not sure if this is a design flaw since it's a very small (and inexpensive) fountain to begin with.

It's the perfect size! I put crystals in it to give it a little something extra. It has a great sound quality as well. I am very satisfied with this purchase, and I'm really picky on fountains! It evaporates somewhat fast but that's no issue at all

So when I first got this I was super excited. Set up was okay, albeit it was a pain to make sure the pump was positioned correctly in the unit since the opening was so small- and I have small hands. Anyways- after about 2 weeks I noticed that the top filter was starting to grow some funky cheese-like goo- even though I was regularly cleaning (emptying and refilling with new water) the units water. It was GROSS. So gross that I had to remove the top filter (that was glued down) so I could wash it with soap and such and try not to ralph in the process. This kept happening since I got the item in July 2021… today, even after constant care with this thing the pump also now broke. It’s only been 3 months. I Was 4 weeks outside return window so ran into some snags.…..see update belowUPDATE: seller wound up offering to send a replacement, which was actually very kind of them to do.SECOND UPDATE: Seller Never sent the replacement. Even emailed them a second time reminder and they said they’d get on it… NO replacement ever came.

I have the fountain on my windowsill at work. I have received several compliments on its sound and appearance. It is resin but looks like real stone. My office mate says the sound makes her feel like she is in a yoga studio. I unplug it before I leave the office each day.This was easy to set up, however the directions provided were not entirely clear. You have to insert the pump into the back of the statue and close the opening with the lid provided. I then filled it with water from the front. It holds a lot of water! Do not plug it in until the reservoir is full. The pump must be completely submerged. If the pump is completely submerged, it is virtually silent. When it becomes noisy, you must add more water, about 1/2 cup at a time until noise stops.I would definitely purchase again, either for my home or as a gift. Love it!

The media could not be loaded. I have this Buddha fountain on a corner shelf in my living room very near the couches. Mine came with the pump already turned on and assembled inside. There are suction cups on the bottom to hold it to the inside of the basin in the back of the Buddha. I only needed to pull the cord out, put the back cover on, fill it with water and plug it in. I filled the front water basin up to the top of the hole inside where the water drains out into the back of the Buddha. I have not noticed any motor noise at all. The camera picks up a small motor hum since it is very close to the Buddha, but sitting next to it, all that I can hear is the quiet trickle of the water. It's very soothing, and the little white LED light at the bottom of the water basin creates a nice reflection on the ceiling.It is made of plastic, but from the distance, it looks like real rock. I like it. I have no regrets.

Its a good product. You can hardly hear the motor (a big plus), the sound of water is minimal but you sure can hear it, if its quite around.Its very fragile specially the vessel carving in the hand. If it had some light on the face too it would have been a 5 five star from me. Its very dark around the face as the led light is covered by the statue's hand so need good lights around it.
