The Brothers Karamazov: Translated by Richard Pevear & Larissa Volokhonsky

I haven't started reading it yet, but since the review section is meant for the product rather than the story, I'll focus on that. The book arrived in good condition, just as expected based on my previous purchases. The printing, binding, and cover are all in decent shape. This book has been on my bucket list for a long time, and I'm excited to finally have a copy. Can't wait to dive into the world of Dostoevsky.

No bubble wrap of extra layer because of which my book got tron off a bit on the edge. Amazon improve your packaging. Paper quality is average thouge Vintage comes under Penguin still needs to improve the paper quality atleast match it with Penguin 🐧 classics those editions has some fine paper n print quality.

My first work of Dostoevsky. Im half way through the book and it always captures me in various emotions. Truly, an Enthralling novel! Please be careful that that you only get "Richard Pervear and Larissa Volokhonsky" translation.

Never have I felt so many emotions simultaneously from just reading a book. To only thing I regret is that poor Dostoevsky died before he could finish a sequel…

It's Dostoevsky's finest work so you know it's good. The review here is rather based on the quality of the paper, which is as expected from a paperback book of this price. Quality of the cover is okay, there was no damage when it was delivered, but few people have received a damaged copy. The paper quality really isn't too bad. It's not 40gsm paper, but it's quite okay. Just a personal note, if you're confused about which version of Dostoevsky to get, get this one. This translation really does capture the original russian writing's VIBES

I specially choose the seller that was charged 55rs extra since I the last one I ordered was damaged but this time also the pages have warped ,it's not too much damaged so I ain't returning it but it is a little damaged.

One of Russia's greatest novel superbly translated! Entrancing, lively, diverse ranging from theology to psychology and yet thrilling. Worth reading and rereading.

Don't be put off by the first half, that could seem clunky and contrived. The second half is truly sublime.

La traducción de Richard Pevar es muy buena. Logra contar la historia manteniendo el sentido original, sin simplificar el texto original.

En estos casos la traducción y las notas del traductor son muy importantes para entender los detalles y la verdad que suma mucho a l texto lineal de las descripciones y los lugares. El vendedor es muy serio, tuve problemas con el envío y me lo solucionaron.
