Vader Chest and belt pieces
The chest plate and belt are made very well however replace the velcro before using it will not hold and will fall and break! I was told before I received my second due to the belt not wanting to light up! However when the replacement arrived and I redone the velcro everything worked and its a great addition to my vader costume

It's good quality
The quality of the belt boxes and the chest plate is amazing but the lights are just like in the video and trash but with simple modifications it's the perfect affordable belt and chest plate

Poor lighting
Nicely made but comes with bad lighting and no batteries I expected it to at least have the lights installed and batteries for the dollar store lights!

Garbage
It came with two screws missing out of the back of the chest piece, and none of it work. The chess piece doesn’t light up nor does the belt do not buy this. It is a rip off. I am going to be returning it this weekend.

Yes, it requires adult assistance. But, I have a VERY happy mini Vader!
See photo. My son is absolutely thrilled—for my child’s joy, it gets 5 stars. I am making this costume for his upcoming fifth birthday. He is tall for his age, but on the skinny side. These are the items I needed to make this work:1. I had to alter the belt to fit a child. It was no big deal with a leather needle, black thread, and some elastic. If you need this for an unusually small (or large) person, I would go ahead and buy those items. If you don’t have a sewing machine, your neighborhood shoe repair shop could probably handle any needed belt alterations very easily.2. It comes with Velcro on the chest piece, but the other side of the Velcro is not included. I just ordered Velcro.3. You need six total round batteries. I suggest ordering those at the same time.4. You need screwdrivers.

You have to work at it, but it can be IMPRESSIVE, QUITE IMPRESSIVE!
When I received the Chest plate and belt, it looked as if nothing worked. Instead of sending it back I was determined to at least see what I could do. I opened the back of the chest plate, 2 screws, and found the black round battery case. I pried the case loose and found a spot on the side to pry it open, surprise, no batteries. I looked at the belt and loosened the belt over the 2 lighted boxes. I found the same round battery cases, pried them open and no batteries. The battery cases were held in place by thick double-stick tape. (Important) The battery cases must be lined-up with a window on the bottom of the belt and chest plate to access the on-off button. Since there are no instructions I used the try and fail method to find the correct batteries. (Important) I found each black battery case requires two (2) CR2032 button cell batteries for a total of 6. My local Dollar store had them for one dollar each so I bought 6. Installed them, made sure lights worked, snapped the black top on the battery case and used the thick double-stick tape to line it up correctly. I was absolutely thrilled to find that there was an "on" mode as well as a "flashing" mode for each of the light units. Not exact, but at least closer to the movie costume. The belt is tight but I can fix that as it can be fixed in the back and won't show. I have the cheaper costume but I love it because it's lightweight and not bulky or hot! The cape flows beautifully! I also have the full head mask, gloves and breather sound device. My hot topic boots have 3"-4" soles and heels, with helmet I'm 6'5". The chest plate on the cheap costume is a painted rubber material sewn on the chest. I found that if I take the back off the lighted chest plate and trim off 2 silver rubber pieces (with a scissors) that the new lighted chest plate fits directly over the existing one! I used Scotch M3 series 10-1000 super tape, thick double stick tape lining the back of the open-back chest plate. I discarded the metal back and screws. The super tape holds well, but in the future I will have to change batteries so I did not opt to use glue. I can now say (in a very low voice) That I am quit pleased. The lack of batteries was, disturbing. But the circle is complete, I feel I can now rule the galaxy.
