Expiration dates are on the packages or boxes when manufactured and packaged. It's not one size fits all forever. They don't expire the next day if that's what you mean. **Q: What is the Expiration date ?** A: October 2021 **Q: Are there 24 or 48 bars?** A: 12 "bars" about quarter-inch thick. Not as good as I recall as a child, not the sense of butter-toffee. But to make they just use sugar and butter and boil .I came from Canada and just love these bars. But have made the candy also.
