Yes. Either through the sleeve material or you can pull the sleeves up and your hands will be free to use outside of the costume. (The sleeves are long but the ends of the sleeves are open.) You can also use your hands inside of the costume if you pull your arms back into the costume and out of the sleeves. (I stored some candy in my pockets and was able to eat while inside.)

Did anyone think that the leg holes were extremely tight and impossible for a normal person to wear? Is there some way to adjust the sizing?

Yes!!! Leg holes were waaay too tight and made this unusable. Very disappointing. Making this minor change would make it a great costume, but this is going back.

Can you get out of this costume without help?

If you deflate it, you can turn the tube creature around and get to the zipper yourself. (Both to get in and out of the costume) It isn’t easy but it’s doable. Having said that, it is much easier to have someone else do it for you.
