Tardi's WWI: It Was the War of the Trenches/Goddamn This War!

Tardi's book is an astounding accomplashment. His work moved me deeply, and taught me more about WWI than another other single book I've read. (I realize it's a two-volume set, but they are companion pieces, to me.) Even if you have no intestest in WWI, that ghastly & futile human enterprise, Tardi will no doubt move you as deeply as he moved me. And will probably launch in you a powerful desire to learn more about the War of the Trenches, as it did me.

I really enjoyed both graphic novels. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone that has any interest in World War I.

You can feel the pain and almost feel it.

Brutal, frank, actual. Captures the dark humor of the damned.

I was able to buy when came back in print. I was waiting for 2 years for this slipcase edition. I already read the book some time back. It is great actually anything bt Tardi is a class in itself. So , grab it if you can.
