I got it for the additional features like moon phase and barometric pressure. Which the pressure can be adjusted. Everything can be adjusted except temps and humidity. If you need to adjust the pressure you also get the choice if you want the forecast area changed to reflect the outside status. All settings for high/low, 18 history records for pressure, erasing memory for temp/humidity is a plus.The display is easily read at any angle and has a nice bright display. It will however, go very dim if it is signaling to WWVB until it finishes. When you first have it on, in about 3 minutes it will try to get a signal from WWVB for your date. Can take up to 7 minutes depending on the signal. You can manual start this sooner or later or just set the time yourself.You will need to set up the barometric pressure because it starts with sea level pressure at 29.92. After a few hours, the pressure will start changing some if you have fluctuations happening that day and you may see a trend happening in the forecast and the animated forecast area should begin to reflect outside or near accuracy. It may take longer. Although, know that the forecast states it's showing you what it is 8 hours in the future, do to pressure.I really like this weather station for the clarity and near accuracy it has.Reminder: If you use batteries, the display only shows for about 15 secs. Tap the top to show again. If on cord and no screen, it may be getting signal from WWVB up to 7 mins before display comes back. I bought it for my husband to replace an old one that just broken downWe live the color and the numbers are visible across the room for our old eyes.It was easy to set up. Those who complain of the screen turning off, please read instuctions on the backlight and understand the device will be synching up with the big station and will be blank for up to 7 min. While this happens. After several hours of this. The system is now steady and on all the time. Be patientThe only concern I have is this is made in China. There is a USB port for charging your phones and tech. devices withba USB port. I recommend not using this for charging anything technical unless you can be certain there is not a threat within that can steal important data. Was disappointed that it didn't come with batteries. I like the easy-to-read, brightly colored display which is on all the time if you plug in the power adapter to 110VAC. It does offer some features that I don't find very useful, thus cluttering up the display. The one thing I wish they would emphasize more is the barometric pressure. It shows the current pressure and, by pressing a button, you can see several previous pressure readings. But that's tedious. Instead of showing the phase of the moon it would be a lot more useful to me to remove the moon and show the pressure trend. The "mold risk" reading is utterly useless.
