How many seconds of grinding do I use for drip coffee?

For my French Press, I use approximately 10 seconds. However, for a drip coffee maker, you likely want the grind a little finer - so, I'd guess 15 - 18 seconds.

Can you remove the toxic plastic screen at the top?

If you don’t want the “toxic plastic screen”, you should order a different French press. The purpose of this screen is to strain the coffee grounds so they don’t get into your coffee. I tried 3 others before I bought this one. This does what I hoped it would do - strain the grounds.

I purchased the "8 cup" item, but it only holds 33oz liquid. That equates to 4 cups. Why is the product labeled 8 cups?

I believe it's because they measure a "cup" of coffee as 3oz, which is how espresso is usually measured. So, 3oz x 8 cups = 32oz.... give or take an ounce.

where can I buy a replacement filter (screen)?

A tough item to find... Not one that breaks often. May need to contact Bonjour.
