Bought a purple one for my black Dell laptop. Bottom piece nicely vented for air. Both pieces snap on easily. As far as protecting the computer if I drop it I just don't know. I did a minor slide off the couch onto carpet test and the pieces stayed on. They are just plastic so (maybe?) would pop off if a hard fall on a hard surface? Just don't know. But I feel the corners are a little more protected than without, my computer is now purple which I love and the top cover will wipe clean easily. Make sure you get the top piece on the right direction. It will fit either way but if incorrect the top and bottom pieces will touch and you hear a rubbing noise when opening it. The right way it still rubs just a teeny tiny bit but it's not an issue at all. Love the legs on the bottom to lift base of computer off your desktop surface. There are just plastic so they could break but if you are careful with them they should last. I probably won't slide it around with the legs open but rather pick it up and reset it if I need it moved. Would not recommend that small children be using the legs as I think that they would not last very long.

I purchased this hard shell with some apprehension because about 1/2 the reviews have said that the bottom piece didn't fit right and wiggled loosely. I figured that, given Amazon's easy return policy, it was worth trying. I made sure that I specifically purchased the shell for the 15.6" Dell Inspiron 15 5570 (Intel) laptop PC that I purchased a few weeks ago at Costco.Upon receipt, I carefully pressed the top and bottom shells onto my laptop, and heard the satisfying sounds of solid snaps, as the shell hugged my laptop. It sounded much like the original housing of a disassembled electronic device being snapped back together. I'm not sure why some people have said that the bottom fits loosely. I wonder if, perhaps, Dell may have made minute changes to some of these without noting it in the BOM? I don't know. All I can say is that this shell fits my laptop tighter than Kim Kardashian's workout pants.My only critique of this shell is that I wish they made the pop-out feet a little more sturdy. I haven't tested it (by accident,) but I suspect that if my laptop suffers a 3-4 inch drop onto these feet, they probably won't survive. One or two millimeters more plastic on and around the feet could have given it a MIL-SPEC feel and strength. I guess I'll just be extra careful when the feet are flipped down.Overall, I am very pleased with this shell.

A lot of people are saying the bottom didnt fit quite right, that's because it's designed for the version of this laptop that has a dvd drive. I knew that going in because I mainly cared about the protection from the top. I take great care of my laptop but things can scratch up the top easily and it's the more visible part. So... if your laptop doesn't have a dvd drive and you really want protection and security at the bottom of the pc aswell, then this is not for you.As far as material, it's a nice matte black but still a little too plasticky for me. Would have preferred maybe a more of a silicone or softer feel like the apple iphone silicone case. Still this is the only thing I found for my computer. WIsh it was cheaper for the material. Yet fit on top is good. So it works.

The top part fits like a glove. Since my Dell 5570 doesn't have a CD/DVD drive (as others have stated) the bottom is a bit loose. I have mostly solved the problem by putting a few 3M Command adhesive strips between the inner bottom of the case and the PC which (so far) is keeping things in place (just don't cover up too many of the venting spaces when doing this).Although the case looks nice and will protect the PC from scuffs and scratches, it does not appear to be thick enough to offer any degree of drop protection. I would prefer something thicker (along the lines of an OtterBox phone case) that would offer more protection if the PC falls a few feet out of a backpack. Sadly, no such option exists other than spending $2500+ for a military/police spec Panasonic ToughBook PC.

I was so excited so get my hard shell case from y’all because I couldn’t find them in stores anywhere! When I got my case I read the sticker on the front and it was the right case from my laptop. I put the top piece on and it was perfect then I tried to put the bottom piece on and it didn’t line up with the nubs on the bottom of my laptop. I was disappointed but I was satisfied with the top piece so I didn’t bother trying to send it back. The bottom piece will pop off quite often and it’s annoying but the overall durability, looks, and even the shipping was nice!

I'm guessing that the fit is hit or miss, but at this price point I took the risk. I bought a refurbished Dell Inspiron 15 5570 (Intel) last week & this case lined up precisely with the feet. Like other reviewers noted, one corner of the base has a bit of play. The kickstands might not survive my middle schooler, but the case itself is definitely solid enough to protect against scratches and bumps in her backpack. For what it's worth, this case added just enough girth that this mammoth 15" Inspiron no longer fits in a hand-me-down 15" MacBook Pro briefcase.

Perfect

Perfect fit to my Dell i5570 15.6" laptop. Clear cover as stated. It doesn't take away from original design of the laptop casing itself but provides protection of scratches from daily use. The feet part looks ok so far but not sure how long it will last as it could easily break off. Wasn't too pleased with how item was left outside even though there's covered front porch. Otherwise product is good. Thanks seller. Hope this review helps you.

Mi calificación es intermedia, no me desagradó el producto, pero tampoco me encantó.Pedí el color negro y parece color café oscuro.La parte que cubre la pantalla quedó a la perfección en cuestión de medida y me ha ayudado a evitar varias rayaduras. Pero la parte que cubre la parte baja, quedó un poco grande y si no la tomo con cuidado se separa.Las patas parecen algo débiles, pero con un manejo adecuado y cuidadoso, me han servido mucho para evitar que se caliente la computadora.

Le quedó genial, milimétricamente holgado de abajo pero se entiende porque tiene el espacio para la ventilación. Definitivamente lo volveré a comprar. Llegó antes de la fecha prevista en excelentes condiciones. Ampliamente recomendable.

Llegó bien, y es lo que anuncian. El color es bonito, pero agrega mucho peso a la laptop
