I didn't think anything of it but I noticed after that my foot was sliding around a lot and realized that one of the straps popped out. I've had these shoes for about 6 months. I'd be surprised if I've put 20 miles on them, most of the time I use them for wet wading while fishing small creeks and rivers. Perhaps these aren't very water resistant and the adhesive holding the strap just gave out after being exposed to water. I emailed Tesla Gear and I will say their customer service was great and they issued me a full refund and told me I could do what I want with the shoes. I'll probably use some adhesive to see if I can put the strap back in. I'm going to get as much use as I can out of these but I don't think I would buy them again for my uses. If you plan on using these for short term hikes then I would say they will probably work fine, but I would try to keep them out of water if possible.I bought these shoes to wet wade in whenever I am fishing and they are just what I needed! I love that your toes are protected in these, so no banging on rocks or sticks in the water. The traction on these is pretty good. I did slip on some wet rocks and steep muddy banks, but I expected that to happen occasionally. The fit of the shoe was a little tricky. They look very much like tennis shoes, and usually I wear a size 11 in tennis shoes, but another reviewer mentioned that the heel "strap" isn't really a strap since there's no way to adjust how snug it fits to your heel, so I decided to go with a size 10 to be cautious, since they don't have half sizes. The 10 ended up fitting me perfectly so my feet aren't moving around inside the shoe whenever I walk. These shoes are very similar to a certain brand, and only cost a fraction of the price, while still being a quality product. I've only used them once so far but they held up very well. If they start to fall apart after a few uses I will definitely come back and update my review. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ More comfortable than Keen, less than 1/2 the price *by R***T on Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2019* I've owned the Keen version of this sandal for about 3 years and they are whipped. I saw this brand and at $30 a pair, I figured I'd take a shot.Pro-Fit as expected - I wear a 10 , ordered a 10 and it fit fine. I have wide feet so I wasn't sure until I wore these for 2-3 days-I can't tell them from Keen build wise, by appearance or overall quality-More comfortable for me than my old Keens which had less support-Less than 1/2 the priceConNone so far - I'll see how they hold up and report backI attached a photo with my old Keen sandals at the bottom and the Atika look alikes at the top. The pull loop on the right Keen ripped loose 3 days after I got them. My cat seems to prefer the Atika but with cats you never know. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good fit; Bad heel design. *by A***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2018* Three stars. I purchased these sandals for walking 3 - 6 miles a day in the warm sub-tropical area where I live. Fit is good, and the bungee across the top is effective in tightening the sandal across the top of the foot. The biggest design problem is in the heel; specifically the hard black portion of the sole that sticks up higher in the heel at the back than the soft gray part. After a day or two of wearing and walking, this hard black rubber in the back began digging into my heels on every step and gave me some extremely nasty blisters on each foot in the spot where the sole of the foot begins to curve up to meet the back of my heel. I was able to fix this design flaw myself with my dremel tool to essentially file down the portion of the hard black rubber that extended up in the back.
