A Near Perfect Everyday Wedding Band
I found this ring because, if I'm honest, I'm a schmuck. I lost my titanium wedding band in the sleepless nights after our daughter was born and I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars for a replacement right away, so having seen ads for silicone bands, I thought I'd check them out. After a read of the Wirecutter article on the subject, I thought I'd try SafeRingz -- after all, for the price what did I have to lose. I didn't know what to expect, other than what I thought would be a temporary item until we could save up the money for a "real" ring. Little did I know that a couple months later I would be telling near anyone who will listen how great this little ring is! PROS Unlike a metal band, the silicone band flexes and stretches. This means that when you shake hands with someone enthusiastic there isn't the pain as your fingers bend. It also means, for me at least, that typing is MUCH more comfortable and I don't have the issue of the ring being overly tight or loose depending on the temperature. I feel the look of the ring is just right for my style. No one on close inspection is going to think this is a high end piece of jewelry, but is has a classic, understated look that I love. For me the "platinum" color was just right to replace my titanium band. CONS One of the selling points is that the ring will break under pressure so you don't lose a finger - and there are times when one of my kids grabs it on my finger that I wonder if the ring is about to break. It hasn't yet, and seems no worse afterward, but there are times it feels a little flimsy -- but this is a VERY small concern. The sizing suggestions on the SafeRingz website were very helpful for me in knowing what size to order - but I wish they had them on the Amazon product page as well (they weren't when I ordered). OVERALL This ring feels and looks great. It is more comfortable than any other ring I've worn (not that it's a huge sample set...) and if I ever have any issues I will gladly order another. I happily wear it every day and, unlike my metal band, I often forget I'm wearing it until I look down and smile. A wonderful product made even better by a fantastic price.

Perfect silicone ring that goes from the gym to the corporate office with a metallic look instead of looking like a rubber ring
This is a great ring if you're looking for something that does at well in a corporate office as it does at the gym. I have a Qalo ring that I like a lot but it's very obviously a silicone ring. When I used to forget to swap the Qalo for my metal ring I would feel self conscious about it in the office in a professional suit or sport coat setting. I wanted a ring that at least at first glance looks like a metal one. This is a dark grayish silver that looks a lot like a tungsten ring and goes well when wearing a stainless steel watch on the same hand as this as a wedding band. I bought another silver finish ring on Amazon and the silver coating wore off in 3 days and left me with a white silicone ring. This is narrower than a Qalo but about as wide as a traditional wedding band. Very comfortable, I've been wearing it for over a month without taking it off at all (CrossFit workouts, showering, working in the garage, etc). Fits true to size.

Perfect for Martial Artists!
I recently had an injury to my left hand that enlarged my knuckles, so now I can't get my normal wedding band over it. It's been bothering me for some time, because I haven't been able to wear any band on that hand (I have small hands, and other bands that I have that will fit over that knuckle rotate and irritate me). Then I discovered this ring. A martial arts friend wears one like this, so that's where I got the idea to try one. I settled on this one, as I like the metallic sheen. I got it on over my damaged knuckle without any problems or pain. From a distance, thanks to the metallic sheen, it looks like it's metal, not silicone. It's so light and comfortable, you can barely tell you're wearing it. When you do what I do - Filipino Martial Arts - it's *always* a risk to wear rings. I've actually had a ring cut off due to injury, and since that time, I've always removed my rings before training. Now I don't have to! It won't catch on a partner (or any of the tools I train with, including weapons, as there is no gap between the band and my finger), it won't get bent or hurt me, and if I get hit on the hand again (or rather, when I do), taking it on and off is easy - and in a pinch, I can cut it off without worrying about the expense of repairing a precious metal ring. If you're a martial artist, you gotta swap out your normal wedding ring for this when you're training. You'll be very happy with the results! UPDATE: I've been wearing this ring for a few weeks now and it's fabulous! I was at a jewelry counter with my daughter and the clerk pointed at my ring and said, "Titanium"? She was so surprised to find that it's silicone! Awesome ring! UPDATE 2: After wearing this daily for over a year, I got it caught and a small tear developed. So I ordered another one - the silver one - and it's just as awesome as the platinum one. Looks great!

Works great while I can't wear my wedding rings.
So first off, I have the platinum metallic and this doesn't look exactly like metal, but I think this is the closest you're going to get in silicone. If you want something that looks exactly like platinum, then you want a platinum ring. I can't wear my wedding rings right now due to my finger swelling and after 14+ years of marriage, I keep feeling for my ring and momentarily thinking it fell off. This is a good compromise for me. It's comfortable and secure, but I have no trouble getting it off. I wore it all weekend while camping and didn't have any issues. Worst case senecio, if the swelling gets worse, I could cut it off without too much trouble. I'm thinking about ordering a second one for some variety. I'm not much of a "pink" girl, but the pink is so pretty. The only thing I'd do differently is have it a little skinnier. This is about the width of my husband's metal ring, which is wider than my rings so it took a little getting used to. I did order almost two sizes up due to the swelling and ALL of the silicone rings I've tried on run small. My wedding ring is a 4 1/4 and the six is fitting great. I can get it over the swollen part and the ring is still comfortable without rotating on my finger. I would recommend ordering a size up to 1 1/2 sizes up. When I tried it on my finger that wears a 6, it feels a little tight. I did get an email saying that the ring can be exchanged if the size is not working (yay easy exchanges!) but it's so much easier to get a size than fits the first place. Over all, I'm happy with the ring and it is exactly as expected.

Pretty realistic
Very comfortable and a perfect fit. The sizing chart was brilliant (though oddly, I can't find it on the Amazon page today). I feel much safer wearing this than my old gold ring. No more worries about losing a finger in the shop or having to cut the ring off when I get a bee sting on the hand. I'm also less worried about it falling off my finger as the weather changes and my fingers shrink. The only downside is that it's not quite as realistic as I'd hoped. I tried to swap this for my gold ring without my wife noticing - or at least, not noticing immediately. She saw through it the very first day. The brushed gold passes at a distance but it's pretty obviously not metal up close. Update in 2018 Nov - I bought a spare and it's a good thing I did. When I first bought the ring, it was a good fit to maybe a tad snug. Over time, it loosened slightly. Then the weather got cool, I lost a little weight and my hands shrank. The ring just fell off on day. The first time, I noticed it. The second time, I don't know where I lost it (and my wife was REALLY upset that she noticed before I did). But for the price, I really don't care. It's a great deal for a really good ring. My next backup might be a size down, though. My recommendation if you're buying one for the first time is to measure your size, then round down.

Great product, great idea for married people who work with their hands
Well, my "original" gold wedding band has been in my pocket, on my keychain for 13 1/2 years because due to my work, hobbies, and being a musician as well, I've been afraid of losing or damaging a finger. I tried wearing my wedding ring for awhile, but was always getting it caught on something I was lifting or working on. I've been wearing this saferingz for about a week now and am quite comfortable with it. First, The symbolism: It shows that a person is married. Second, It's safe!!! It will break and not tear my finger off. Third, it actually looks pretty good. It looks just fine, about as realistic as can get for the material it's made of. (I have gunmetal) Now, the sizing is slightly different: I measured a 10 1/2 at the jewelry store. Ordered a 10 and it fits perfect. Also keep in mind they will stretch. The price is reasonable, and if you are thinking about this as a substitute for your (metal) ring while at work or at any time, I would highly recommend trying it.

Same Ring, Three Years and Counting!
We both love this ring! It's been a little more than THREE YEARS with this ring and it's still going strong! He's never really taken it off (other than to show others it's not actually metal) and he's not one to be gentle on things either. Not only does he work construction (framer), but he's also an Army Reserves Combat Medic. After a close call with his metal ring catching on a nail at work, I knew I wouldn't be able to live with knowing I was the reason he could have lost a finger and I looked for a safer solution. After a ton of research, I wasn't thrilled with having a ring that just looked cheap and rubbery. I finally came across this company and was surprised to see how much these rings looked like metal. When it came, I was amazed by its quality and how much it looked like metal! I can't believe how many people STILL think it's a metal ring and are totally confused when they see him stretching it and playing around with it. We get questions all the time. I went with a gunmetal gray in size 12.5-13. I would say the only thing that has really changed is the thickness and the luster. But, really that's on him. He has a bad habit of spinning it on his finger against the steering wheel, when he turns. I have to say, I love that this company also supports the military with purchases made. I had no idea at the time of purchase, so that was a nice surprise! Attached photos: both are taken today, April 22, 2019, three plus years later. One was taken with flash, the other without. I wish I had a photo of when we first put it on him. UPDATE: the ring finally broke last week while cliff diving in Hawaii on our honeymoon. :( But, we would totally buy again.

Easy wear comfortable ring
Love the color and the fit of this ring. I actually also have the gold one and change them up depending on mood. I used to have to take my wedding ring off constantly - for work, for exercise - but, this ring you never have to take off. I even wear it climbing! It can get caught up on stuff - like yoga mat - if you are rubbing the palm of your hand along a rubber surface. But, it's an easy fix to just release your palm grip to allow it to slide. I initially bought the ring in a size 5; but returned it for a size 6. It's a better fit for it to be a little loose. I highly recommend this ring. It's pretty, lightweight & safe - no worries about it getting caught in something or your finger swelling.

Spot on and actually metallic looking.
As pictured. Fits well, comfortable and actually metallic looking, unlike other companies I have tried. Will use again if I need to. Much prefer the silicone to an actual metal band as I barely notice it is there.
