I bought this last month, and admittedly have only camped with it once. We have set it up a few times, to practice; but has only stayed up for an extended period of time for the three night we were camping. Normally I would NOT write a review yet, as I wouldn't feel I had used it enough to truly comment. However, my son and I had an experience that I feel is worth sharing. We brought it to give us overhead cover and additional rain protection. It poured on us the first day for about an hour, and rained cats and dogs for an extended period of time the second day. The canopy did its job and kept us dry. Between the tent, canopy, and tarps we were snug as two bugs in a rug. The main reason for posting the pics is so ppl can see that a similar sized tent will indeed fit under the canopy. Our tent is the NTK Oregon GT 10x10 (although the actual footprint is slightly smaller). We filled up the four sand bags, and staked all four of the uprights with double stakes. The wind wasn't that strong; but we had no trouble with the wind we did have. Very easy set-up for my eight year old son and I. The biggest reason of all for posting this review is to address the ease, or lack thereof, of taking it down by oneself. My son got sick at 2:00 in the morning. Literally threw up in his sleep. Very scary, and very stressful. After I was able to get him changed, get a fire going, and wrapped up by it; I proceeded to start tearing down the campsite. When you look at our set-up you can see there was no way I could take the canopy down without taking down the tent. Since I was hoping the anti-nausea meds would settle his stomach and help him sleep (I had an extra sleeping bag with me) I was hoping I could get him back to sleep and pack everything by daylight. That meant I had to move the canopy by myself and take it down by myself; as I knew he wouldn't be helping me then, or in the morning. While it was not the easiest thing, and it took me about ten minutes I was able to slowly but surely (literally a few inches each time) move the canopy out from over the tent. I then was able to take it down, and pack it back up with no trouble at all. Mind you this was at about 2:15 in the morning by lantern light. I'm not going to claim it was as easy as when he and I set it up; or when my wife joined in and the three of us set it up at home. But, considering everything it went far, far smoother than I would have dared hope. The longest part was getting it out from over the tent. Once I had it out, I would say I had it down, and packed by up in about 10 min total. For this last reason alone I would give this a 10 out of 5 rating if it were possible! I can only hope it will prove as durable and sturdy as it proved easy to use and protective on this trip!

I bought this for $169 - $10 discount on Prime Day 2019. I have used it several times since. This is the 2nd canopy tent that I owned. The previous was from Christmas Tree Shop for $100. The previous only lasted 1 season before the wind blew it over and the thing literally got demolished beyond repair. Quality ===== I rate quality 9/10 The first thing I noticed upon receipt of the Eurmax canopy was the quality. The tent bag, the canopy itself, the stakes and everything about it was well thought out. Quality exceeded my expectations The metal used was definitely stronger than my previous canopy but not so strong that it would survive a storm but at least strong enough for most normal situations. Assembly ======= I rate assembly 9/10. On the initial opening of the box, I was a little confused for the first 10 minutes, But once I tried to put up the tent it all just came together for me. And once I did it once subsequent attempts to raise the tent have been trivial. It is easiest to raise the canopy with 4 people (each on 1 corner) but can also be done fairly easily with 2 people (taking turns on 2 corners each) but once I got the hang of it, I can do it by myself (expanding each corner a little at a time.) Expanding the tent isn't bad but raising each leg for each corner is admittedly difficult by yourself Disassembly =========== I rate Disassembly 10/10. Taking down the canopy is super easy with 2 people but can definitely be done with 1 person. I had few if any difficulties here Storage ===== I rate 10/10. Initially I was worried that the canopy would fit in the bag it came with. But it does fit perfectly. The bag itself is VERY high quality and has inside pockets for accessories and instructions. Very easy to store the canopy once it is disassembled Customer Service ============ I rate Customer Service 10/10. When I received the canopy it was missing the stakes but I contacted the seller and they sent them right away. I would do biz with these guys again and would buy this product again. Very satisfied with this purchase. I feel like the canopy is easy enough to assemble/disassemble and store that I can easily do so between uses so this canopy should last for many, many years,

Easy to set up with 1 person. Took about 10 minutes to figure it out and have it raised up. Has quick height adjustment. I highly recommend this Canopy. Works well for Side by Side or a Golf Cart. It is well built with a very heavy gauge metal frame.

I have had an old Ez-Up for a long time. The old EZ was given to me by my late uncle. It is heavy, strong and solid. I kept it in good trim by sewing up the little rips in the cover as they happened, until I thought it was high time to get a replacement. I initially bought the new EZ shade, but the horrible reviews scared me off and I changed the order to this thing. When I got it, it felt very similar to the old EZ. This is taller in the bag, but the gauge of the legs and the framework look virtually identical. The old EZ used pins that took some determination to get out, while this thing just uses little slide-clamps that make it easy to take down and easier to set up. At the end of the day, every tent is perfect until something bends or something breaks off. This thing is HEAVY, but the bag is good and it feels very strong. The bagged tent is much taller than the old EZ when in the bag, so if you are pressed for space, that is a consideration. I wanted a new version of my ~15yr old EZ, and it feels like I got it. The bag is the real winner here though - I never knew I hated the old EZ bag until I used this one. I recommend buying this thing. Full disclosure - I don't know how it would do in a deluge or a snow storm or things like that. I do outdoor sound for weddings and I just don't set up in horrible weather.

I have had this canopy for about 6 weeks now, so I am ready to give an honest review. First off, some of the negative reviewers have to keep perspective. This is a two hundred dollar canopy. Too many people on Amazon think they can get $500 quality for $200. People need to keep perspective. Do not think it will survive high winds. Do not keep it out for days on end. It WILL NOT SURVIVE. A good backyard canopy that can withstand high winds and be left out is probably a $1500 minimum. You aren't getting that for $200. This is temporary shelter. First off, what threw me when it arrived is that the box said "Standard". I was like, "Wait, I ordered the Ez Pop Up...". I went to Eurmax website. This tent IS the Standard model, but the ad does not say that. If you zoom in on the bag, it will say "Standard". So that threw me at first. No big deal there. I got the tent described in the ad, it just never lists it as the Standard model. My wife and I use this in the backyard on nice days so we can sit out and get some fresh air. It is perfect for that. We do not leave it out overnight, nor do we put it up if it is windy. It won't handle that. I am thinking maybe up to a 10 mph wind max , even with sand bags or tie downs. Remember, it's basically a big parachute. If a strong wind gets hold of it, it is going to get damaged. It is pretty easy to put up with two people. The top latches take a little bit of muscle to secure, but after you do it a couple times you get the hang of it. I found that if you stand on the outside of the pole and push the latch up with one hand while pushing down on the top of the frame at the same time works best, but that is just me. I am sure everyone has their own technique. I find the secret to getting the legs to latch is that while you are extending the leg, don't keep the leg on the ground and push the top up, because the top of the tent wants to force it back down under it's own weight. This makes it difficult to open the leg all the way until it latches. So lift the leg off the ground (it's light enough) and extend the bottom part of the leg downward until it latches. At this point the leg will be at an angle, and the tent will be cocked funny, but leave it like that as it reduces tension on the canopy. But again.. find your own technique, I am just telling you how I do it. There may be better ways. You CAN put this up with only one person. The first few times I tried, I was unsuccessful and thought "no way". But after doing it a few times, I figured it out. It CAN be done. But here is the thing. One person can't pull the legs apart far enough by themselves. So I have to open the legs as wide as I can, which is only a little more than half way, then crawl under the frame and push up from the center to force the legs out the rest of the way. Then I use the two techniques described above to secure the latches. It takes maybe 5 minutes to put it up, without hurrying. With that said, I am 5'10 165 lbs and in good shape. So NOT everyone is going to be able to crawl under the frame and push up from the center. I am just saying that it CAN be done by one person. Taking it down is a snap and can be done by only one person, no problem. If you aren't taking the canopy off, it literally comes down in about 30 seconds. Which is nice in case winds or a storm come out of nowhere. The canopy itself is medium weight. It is still too new for me to comment on how strong it is. I left it out in a light rain and it did not leak. Although I did make sure i kept the water from pooling at the edges. I would not count on it in a heavy rain. I think water will pool at the edges and tear the canopy. Finally, the bag is heavy duty and when you first see it, it is weird because it is missing one of the sides, where the wheels are. I was like what the heck? But after a couple times, I realized it was ingeniously engineered. It makes it REALLY easy to put the frame in and out of the bag without having to wrestle with the frame. Just fold the frame (leave it standing upright) and slide the bag over the top of the frame and down It slides right in. Slip the metal brace under the legs, velcro it snug and off you go. You don't even need to take the canopy off. The bag is big enough to fit the frame AND the canopy, which is nice. You never have to lift the frame. Which is great because the frame probably weighs about 50 pounds. But with the ease of putting it in the bag and the bag being on wheels, you never have to deal with the full 50Lbs unless you literally need to carry it. My wife has no problem bringing this in and out of the garage. You aren't going to be able to roll this thing through sand, so don't think you are getting it to the beach without carrying it. For $200, this thing is fine. Again, keep perspective. Understand what you are buying. This is temporary shelter. Harsh weather will ruin it. But it exactly as advertised. If you need something quick and easy to put up in the backyard or camping, this works just fine.

Went through 2 major back to back severe rain storms with 60mph wind gust and it is still standing to my amazement. Really wasn't expecting it to survive. Would definitely purchase again if needed.

My wife and I just returned from a two-night camping trip where we used this canopy for the first time. We were extremely happy with it! A few points: - We were able to deploy the canopy very easily. Setup is a breeze - The stakes that come with the canopy are pretty much useless. The slightly breeze would pull them and send the canopy flying like a kite. Definitely get some heavier-duty stakes. I bought eight stakes a Walmart which look like giant nails and have plastic hooks on top. These worked perfectly! Each leg on canopy has a plastic base with two holes. The stakes fit perfectly into the these holes and, with two stakes per leg, the canopy isn't going anywhere unless it's in hurricane-force winds - We were camping at 8,000 feet during July and sun was brutal during the day. This canopy was great at providing wonderful shade. - I opted for a panel which attached to one side. This was amazing. It blocked the sun during the day and wind and rain at any time. Definitely get at least one panel for this canopy. It attaches very easily with Velcro straps. - We got a lot of rain during our camping trip. We were able to stay very dry under this canopy up until a serious thunder storm hit and brought serious wind and a torrential downpour. Even in those conditions, the canopy held fast and leaked only a tiny bit at some of the seams. There were just some random drops of water coming through - The wheels on the carrying case make this canopy very easy to transport. - Be aware this canopy is still pretty long when stowed. My truck has a short bed and the canopy will not fit completely inside. I used ratchet straps to secure it atop the bed in the front and atop the tailgate at the rear. This worked very well I highly recommend this canopy for camping. I see many other canopies at camp sites which are very flimsy and require multiple tension lines at the top corners to keep them in place. Not so for the EurMax canopy. Two takes at each leg kept it holding fast even during thunder storms. Although, I would recommend lowering the canopy in the wind if you're not using it. I lowered the canopy at night while camping just to make sure it held in the strongest winds.

Not at all impressed with this but you get what you pay for. First time out with it - the top is very very flimsy and easily ripped (which it did). We were setting it up on a calm day, only a gentle breeze but not even enough to tousle your hair. After setup, we took a lunch break at a nearby picnic table. When we came back, the canopy had completely blown over and bent one of the legs to the point that it was no longer useable. I have owned many canopies as I use them often in my business and do secure them with water weights, but the day was so beautiful and CALM. This thing turned into a sail with wind that didn't even blow papers off the table beneath the canopy. I'm very disappointed with a product that was built for outdoor use but doesn't have the strength or rigidity to survive even a gentle breeze. What kind of framework just buckles like that? Looked at return options but said I would be charged if it were damaged, which it was - so I'm the sucker who is out all his money on this one. Come on, Eurmax USA - do better.

Quick and easy to set up/take down, legs seem pretty durable, and it can be lifted by one person if needed.

I needed something that I could set up and take down myself and this is the perfect product. I just open it a little, place a spike in one of the feet and then proceed to open it up. Opens as if it was on wheels and pulleys. And taking it down is even easier. I highly recommend this canopy. FYI I am a senior.
