Looks good, works great. And it's reliable too
Looks good on the desk, conference table, or festival booth; keeps my tea HOT not merely warm; simple manual touch controls, no AI or internet connectivity, no radio signal clutter from unneeded wifi or bluetooth or zigby transmissions. Oh, and no "idiot light" when it's turned off but still connected to power (it is always connected to power), but the temperature indicator lights are understated, attractive, and easy to read from twenty feet away. The temp light even stays on when the unit is off but your mug is still "steeping-temp" hot, until the mug cools to "merely warm", which is a nice safety feature. And my first Vobaga has lasted more than four years already and is going strong, looking like new! I'm buying a second one to take with me on the road so that I'll never need to unplug my home office Vobaga again. Seriously considering buying a third for downstairs so that I"m not constantly reheating my big mug of tea when I'm in the kitchen or family room. Oh, that reminds me of one thing that might be a drawback for you, with this mug warmer: the heating plate is slightly recessed into the top surface (on the new one too). So if the footprint of your big mug is wider than 3 and 5/8" (about 9cm), it won't make full contact with the hot plate. This cuts the heat transmission to your mug by about half... enough to keep it warm, but not hot enough for me. So I just use big mugs with slightly tapered bases, and they work fine. Your wide-base travel mug? not so much. Especially if it has a rubberized bottom. I wouldn't set a mug like that on the Vobaga at all because the rubber would insulate the tea even more than the little airspace would ...but also because, over time, the Vobaga at top setting is hot enough to gradually degrade the rubber, even though it isn't touching it directly! Imagine that tiny airspace becoming a coin-shaped low-power oven... Use a real mug. ;-)

Fantastic Product - If Used Right - Read on
I'm going to skip the part of how nice this item is to have. There are more than enough reviews that attest to that. This device will do its job, and do it very well. Just keep the following things in mind: 1. This is NOT a hot plate. If your coffee is cold when you use this, it will be lukewarm at best. It simply helps to maintain the beverage's temperature. BIG difference. 2. Watch out for those Buttons - They are 'touch-enabled,' so if you are not careful, you may graze your fingers over it and inadvertently either turn it on or turn it off. The former is the bigger problem because there IS NO AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF. You don't want to leave it unattended and left on. 3. No Beeps - Despite other reviews, mine does not beep when you touch any buttons, so I don't know if the later ones had this beeper thing removed. In any case, I don't have them. 4. IF YOU USE CREAM IN YOUR COFFEE - By all means, by a set of those stupid-looking, but absolutely essential rubber coffee mug covers [they look like umbrella tops]. If you don't and leave your cup unattended on the warmer, the cream will congeal and the coffee and mug will be gross in no time flat. Those covers keep the moisture in, as well as assist in keeping the coffee warm. You'll get some condensation drips each time you remove them, but a small price to pay. 5. I find it better to use the highest setting when the cup is full, and then work your way down as you consume your beverage. Else, you will go from a nice warm cup of coffee to a scalding one in no time. Hope all this helps. Buy this - you won't be disappointed.

Keeps my coffee adequately warmed!
Does what I need it to do—keeps my large mug of coffee warm while I work puzzles and read the morning news. I use it every day. As suggested by the seller it is even more efficient with a lid on the mug. I use a flat silicone disk type lid. It has 3 heat levels— I personally only need the hottest. It has ample heated space for my large—14 ounce— coffee mug. It is very lightweight and easy to wipe clean. The only negative is that it must be plugged in so it’s a little bit of trouble to move around. That being said this mug warmer is far less expensive than the USB rechargeable mug warmers I saw and does a good job keeping my mug warm for 4 hours. (I tested it!). I would recommend this mug warmer to a friend. According to the manufacturer it can be used for heating a scented candle. I haven’t tried that yet.

Best Device Ever!
I am a very slow coffee drinker... (hmm, not very complimentary) I must love microwaving coffee... (hmm, let's try again) I like to SAVOR my coffee in the morning! (much better) And because of this I spend a lot of time reheating it. I like drinking from mugs because you can put them in the dishwasher so I save my insulated cup for travelling. Mugs are fairly bad at keeping heat in. Enter coffee mug warmer. This little device is my favorite purchase in years! There are many things I like about it. - First, the more important, it works. Keeps coffee hot! In fact if you cover the top of the mug it can actually reheat coffee from lukewarm to hot. It's powerful. - Three temperature settings for versatility. I start on the hottest (red) and find myself dialing it down as the mug empties to maintain perfect temperature. - Larger mug surface than most other warmers I have seen - Aesthetically there may be more sleek models out there. This one is pretty basic but the touch-sensitive controls are LED, contrast nicely, and lend a modern look to this device. When not in use it blends in nicely with my black desk. - 4 hour automatic shutoff is a great thing for empty or forgotten mugs (this is a new feature so some reviews don't mention it) Random details: - Plate reads at 275F on high, ceramic mug base is 130F, coffee inside at about 120F. The effectiveness will depend on your environment. If you have a desk fan blowing past your mug things won't work out so well. - The bottom (desk side) of the unit gets fairly warm but it is not excessive and there is an air gap to the desk. I have a glass desk and it gets mildly warm. - Wood desk? I set it on a piece of wood for half an hour and the wood got up to around 130F. This is not "hot" for wood, you can touch it and it just feels warm, but it is also not ideal for furniture. If it was my desk I would probably put it on a large ceramic coaster just to be safe. - I feel the need to say this because I keep reading of people putting plastic mugs on these or blocking the vents with cloth oven mits underneath and they wonder why things go wrong. Don't be that person. No more trips to the microwave for me!

Nice and Warm!
Works great. Just what I was looking for. Auto shut off. “Warmer Hot” warning light when cup is removed. Various levels of “hot” as I don’t like super hot coffee. And Stylish.

I love the three temperature setting! Versatile & Effective
There's lots of good information in the other possitive reviews, so I won't go into much detail. I very rarely write a review (this is my 2nd ever). I've just been so delighted with this product (I've had for a few months, since January and use almost every day). The 3 temperature settings are perfect. The lowest will keep things warm, the medium will keep things hot (& increase heat), the high (used less) will get things warm/hot a bit quicker than medium, and too hot if you leave long. Even the medium can makevery hot if left a long time. I mostly use with Ball canning Jars & other jars with lids that I use to carry drinks with me, and use as cups at home all the time. I also have a couple coffee mugs that have flat bottom, so they work well too. I've even used it to warm up a bowl of soup, so I didn't have to dirty a pan on the stove (it takes a while to heat things up, but I LOVE that it's SAFE to just leave it on). I wanted the on/off button because seems safer to me to be able to turn it off, so I love that. I bought one for home, one for office & one for a friend. I might even get a 2nd one for my home. After long searching, I was not able to find any other one suitable, and I'm so happy with this one.

Works great and has every feature you could want!
I had another warmer, that I bought because it had a manual off switch. Not impressed by units that only activate if a mug is placed on the warmer - strikes me as too gimmicky. This unit looks great, has 3 heat settings - with a colored light for each different setting, can be turned off manually and has an auto shut off after 4 hours. If the unit times out, the light will flash for a couple minutes, to let you know it has shut down and also to let you know that the element is still hot. Also noted that the heating element seems to have a larger surface, so it can easily accommodate most larger mugs. Nice style. many colour options - works great - what's not to like. Would be a great gift for a coffee fanatic - like myself!

It works! Very effective. With the right mug you can brew hot tea from cold water
It is important to use it with the right mug, it must not be insulated and it will work best with a flat bottom and a lid to keep the heat in. I use it with the "Lixada Titanium Cup, Portable Camping Picnic Water Cup Mug 420ml". It is a nice looking titanium camping mug. I have even added a "Neoprene Cooling Beer Drink Bottle Tin Can" for extra effectiveness. This new version has no audible beep noise as other users were complaining about. This has a thermostat, in my case, if I leave it in blue it will warm my coffee even from cold to nicely hot but still drinkable. I never use pink or red as it will continue to heat up to too hot. As I said, it has a thermostat, so once your drink is hot it will stop heating and will only heat again if the temperature of the cup drops. When it is heating it draws 48W. When not heating or off, it will draw 0.9W, as many appliances do, so I turn the switch off from the wall when not in use. I am very happy with the purchase and I would buy again.
