Great for digging
Yeah it’s off label use, but they don’t seem to make SDS+ spade bits, so here we are. I used this digging, just like with a spade bit, on hard compacted clay with plenty of rocks in the mix. Doesn’t chew through the rocks, but great on the compacted clay and for working around the stones to loosen them. Shaft has held up well with some prying and good sturdy blade despite trying to chisel through some rocks.

Worked For Me
I had to remove 400 square feet of floor tile that was installed 12 years ago. I used a friends hammer drill/jack hammer with this chisel and the tiles popped right up. The problem was the old mortar which had to be removed for installation of the new tiles. This was a 3 day job for me, as an older guy, but the chisel worked great. I did sharpen it on occasion. I could never have gotten this done without it. As an aside, I retired the chisel as this will be my last tile job, ever. The constant up and down on my knees caused a torn meniscus with required surgery. The chisel did a much better job than my knee.

Good quality and price
Does what it’s meant to do and I have no issues with quality of the tool to date.

Gets dull after 30 minutes of chipping thin set.
Good blade overall. I worked it hard.

Good quality, not thin metal tile scrapper!
Very happy with this wide bit. Most are cheap metal or thin tile scrappers. I use this to chip old mortar joints / mortar off footers. Nice quality. Fits both my Bosch and DeWalt SDS plus hammer drills. Pic when new..

It does the 'Destructo Jobs'...of taking up Ceramic Tile, or Wood Flooring
This Steel Spade fit in my 1-1/8" diameter Rotary-Drill Chuck just fine. It took up Kitchen Floor Ceramic Tile which was cemented to an underlayment of Cement Board (1/2" DurRock), which was unfortunately not only nailed down but also Glued-Down. What where they thinking? Trying to discover the nails in the DurRock below the Thin-Set cement was the hard part, and trying to 'take off' the Thin-Set was just too dusty for me. Better to take off the Tile first, and then attack the DurRock from underneath. Taking up Ceramic Tile mounted on DurRock is not for the faint of heart, and it requires: Safety Glasses, a Dust Mask, and Noise Reduction Ear-Muffs, plus it is On-Your-Knees work. This 3" Wide Spade held up well, even against the Roofing Nails it encountered in the Cement Board. The 3" width of this Spade is about the right width to get in-between the nails and not encounter them directly.

It’s the bomb
Had to chip out tile and was doing it by hand using a hammer and chisel and it was slow. Went to Home Depot to get another chisel and looked around the tool crip and saw roto hammer with chisel bits SDS. I never though of using my rotor hammer drill in impact mode only ( not drill ) of course HD had no such chisel bits . At home that night I looked on Amazon and ordered this bit .I came next day and put it in my drill on hammer mode and it worked fabulous ,like a miniature jack hammer . Thank you Amazon.
