James Wellbeloved Complete Dry Senior Dog Food Fish and Rice, 15 kg

WOW, he actually likes it!! He doesn't usually like any food,( well except pizza, chips etc. obviously!) and only eats his dog food at the end of the day when there's nothing else going on. But yea, he really likes this. This is the first time I've bought him a senior dog food, I just told him senior means he's graduated to a very good boy and now can teach the new puppy down the road how to be a good boy too. The pieces are very small and triangle shaped and quite flat. They are would be very easy to eat for small to medium dogs. I'm not sure, but big dogs might be able to wolf them down too quickly, although they might fit in a treat ball, the kibble is quite small, so that's an idea. Now to the poop; this is the good thing, his poop has firmed up since being on this food, it has been quite loose for a while, rather big and stinky, but now it's normalised I'm obviously really pleased about that. It is good value food with joint care added and I will be reordering this. Maybe he needed senior food after all, I wasn't convinced, but now I am.

My 9 yr old Staffy sadly has cancer, arthritis and Cushing's Disease and he's on medication for cushings that is probably to blame for him to stop eating his food, I decided to try him with a different flavour of JWB to see if he'd eat and thankfully he loves the fish flavour he still takes his time but he definitely enjoys it more than the turkey flavour. My other dog wolfs anything down, hers is gone within a couple minutes! It's a shame it's so stinky, it stinks the kitchen out when the bag has been opened, it's not a foul unbearable smell just a bit unpleasant. James wellbeloved is a good quality dog food that alot of vets recommend. Another thing I like about it is it doesn't give the dogs soft or runny poos, they're very easy to pick up. 5*

My dog is a Golden Retriever and will eat almost anything (including horse manure - yuk) but the breeder recommended James Wellbeloved products and I have mostly stuck with them from when she was a puppy. I think the fish one is potentially better for dog and she certainly seems to like it. I cannot say whether her coat is shinier or she is in better shape from eating this food when compared with others because she has always been fed on this (along with some tinned meat with each meal and various treats to keep things interesting for her) but she is now eight years old and is in good health according to the vet, so that can't be bad.I have a policy when buying anything of looking for the best quality product and then shopping around to obtain it at a bargain price and I have yet to find better dog food than this at a cheaper price elsewhere, when one considers the 'free' delivery cost if one is an Amazon Prime member.

James Wellbeloved food is excellent. We feed two dogs on JWB and they are both healthier and their coats are better looking and shinier than they were before we started to use JWB. One hound has been on it for about 4 years and the other one for about 16 weeks (after he started being fussy about the other stuff he had been fed on by his previous carers). I would not hesitate to recommend any of the JWB dry food and can specifically recommend both the Senior and Puppy versions of all their flavours (although the fish and rice one seems to smell more like fish than the others do of their main flavours). Often the Amazon sellers can provide the large bags (15kg) significantly cheaper than the pet shops so it's always worth checking out who has the offers and the best prices at the point you are looking to buy.

We’re really happy; highly recommend. We’ve recently switched back to James Wellboved after Arden Grange jumped up again in price. I’m so glad we did: the quality is much better I think as the shine has returned in her coat. The biscuits are a good shape/size for my aging girl too. My cat will also eat this without wet food mixed in which is really nice now it’s the summer and the flies are back!
