These seeds do not appear to be orchid seeds. Real orchid seeds are extremely tiny and dust-like, while these seeds are round and much larger. Buyers expecting traditional orchid seeds should research orchid seed appearance before purchasing.

I was very disappointed with my purchase. I am well versed growing these yet, zero seeds grew. It had to be a quality type issue. The seeds didn't look healthy.

My daughter enjoys growing plants from seed and I love watching her. I want to be upfront though — orchids are not like typical garden seeds, and that definitely impacts the overall experience. The packet includes a large quantity of very fine seeds, but growing orchids from seed is a much more advanced and long-term process than most people expect. These typically require very specific conditions (often sterile environments or specialized setups) to successfully germinate and develop. That means it will be awhile before I can say for sure about any actual plants. In the beginning most of the seeds passed the seed viability test so hopefully I will be able to update this in the future on how things are growing.

Check my facts: Orchid seeds are near-microscopic. Commercially growers use cloning not seeds. Seed grown orchids can take years to flower. They rely on special fungi (mycorrhizae) in the soil to help them germinate and get nutrients. To grow seeds you need a lab, the right fungi, & nutrients, and years. Do you want this?
