It is soft and comfortable, though.This blanket is on the heavy side. It is great to wrap yourself in or to lay across your lap to stay warm. I have a queen-sized blanket draped across the side of large sofa, and it looks fabulous. Sitting on it feels heavenly. I am glad I went with a larger size as it really adds to the sense luxury.We chose a lighter color and are very pleased. We also considered a darker shade or black. This light choice also has a hint of black intermixed, so it works out perfectly. It looks great with our black faux fur pillow covers.One of my cats initially wanted to eat the blanket, but he left it alone after a gentle shooing.
