Been using this in our Old-Time movie theater popcorn machine for three years. Great butter flavor and pops the popcorn great. This is a direct replacement for your oil. This kernels and salt that’s it. You want more butter add a little more oil. Less Greasy than other oils we have tried.

I grew up in Orville Redenbacher's home town so one of my favorite foods is Popcorn I have my second commercial popping machine (lost one in a hurricane) and this is the best oil I have found. Coconut oil is the safest choice I believe with soft, creamy flavor, easy clean up, does not burn 'hard' on your appliances like seed oils Tastes wonderful. Cannot go wrong with this oil. It will have a bit of smoke like most all oils so toss the popcorn in right away with the oil once the popper is reasonably hot. Put some of this oil in a squeeze bottle and it's great to add on top of your popcorn after popping in less oil as a butter substitute too. I have a long history of using Stir Crazys, air poppers (healthest choice), pots, pressure cookers, baskets over fire place, and microwave popcorn. Hard to beat making a nice batch in a commercial popper but most premade packs are really heavy on the salt and oil mixture. Using this product I put in only oil and popcorn and add salt and/or butter after popping is complete. More control and for me better flavor and gets rid of the mess of clean up with salt in the oil. Salt has more flavor on top with less salt too. I had my old machine in an office setting for a while too and then the packs are probably the way to go. So many great options and can experiment with this oil for cooking or topping. High quality, consistent, but not inexpensive. Enjoy

Makes delicious popcorn.

I just bought some of this stuff, and appreciate that it gives you the color without the artificial coloring and a bit of buttery flavor, although the latter was not as strong as I would have liked. At less than the melting point of coconut oil it's a little harder to work with than my go-to, which is corn oil, but I suppose one could scoop it out of the jar with a tablespoon and level it with a butter knife to get the measure right, or go to the trouble of pre-melting it. I use special fine unflavored popcorn salt afterwards, and add powdered nutritional yeast, a bit of paprika and a smaller bit of cayenne and the popcorn comes out great.

Delicious and highly functional popcorn oil!

This popcorn oil is fantastic. When I pop popcorn I want that great theater taste and smell. This delivers. I melt the oil and put in 3 kernels. When they pop I add the rest and cover my pot. I make sure all kernels are sitting in oil. It only takes about 2 minutes to pop a 1/3 of a cup which makes a big bowl for us to enjoy. I just wait until the popping stops and remove the pot off the burner. With high heat coconut oil burned kernels are pretty much eliminated. I store this in the refrigerator and use a fork to break off about a couple tablespoons for each use and the oil stays completely fresh. This jar will pop an enormous amount of popcorn. I use special "popcorn" salt, and you can add a small amount of butter if desired. Highly recommened. Delivery takes a bit of time, but so worth it!

I love popcorn as a snack and nothing beats movie theater popcorn. I’ve yet to find a microwave bag popcorn even close to. Add to that my allergies for some of the common oils used in off the shelf popcorn and my options are limited. So I invested in a movie cinema style popcorn machine for myself. This butter has been fantastic! The taste by itself is excellent. No crazy artificial colors or flavors. The “butter flavor” does come from real butter, just the stuff that gives butter it’s flavor. If you want the genuine cinema experience grab this and Gold Medal - Original Flavacol® Popcorn Seasoning Salt. This combo with your popcorn is everything you would hope it could be! Even without the salt this still gives you some of the best popcorn you’ll have.

《《Updated May 6th 2020》》 I absolutely love this product and it has become our family favorite, but what I don't like is the consistent price increases over a short time and increase in air bubbles in the product. Beginning of March it was 12 dollars, then less than a month later 13 and now it has jumped to 15 dollars! For the exact same product with more air bubbles. I just use it less now instead of buying more, which is unfortunate. I like supporting the smaller companies, but the significant price hike and more air bubbles in the jar make this something we will limit to special occasions instead of a few times a week now. ☆**UPDATED**☆ March 8th, 2020 I have bought 4 containers of this amazing product. My first container expired in December 2021, the next one October 2021, and the last two I bought expire September of 2020.... I think someone needs to rotate the stock. The first jar was amazing consistency, the 2nd one was more lighter colored spots like it didn't mix all the way or something and the last 2 were extremely hard and lighter colored "cracks" in the oil like it was frozen. (It hasn't been st or below freezing during any of the shipment times). Seem this product might not be very consistent. The older jars I ended up having to use more and the flavor was weaker... which wasn't a perk. I will try trying another brand next time I need oil so I can compare. I love this price point and value, but maybe in a few months they will have fresh/rotated stock again. ☆*****☆☆☆*****☆ This stuff is hands down the best coconut oil I have made popcorn with! It tastes just like theater popcorn (not the microwave versions, the stuff from the theater). I used this with white popcorn seeds and using my great northern stovetop popper. Perfect popcorn everytime! I add a little bit of popcorn salt and good to go! It doesn't make the kernels soggy unless you use too much at a low heat. I've found 1tsp per 1/2 cup of seeds is perfect... and a dash of salt.

Tasty buttery popcorn flavour.

It’s overhyped. Not so great taste and gives too much coloration to the food. Don’t like! And over priced!!!

I received a container from when the dinosaurs still roamed the Earth … the entire product of butter flavoured coconut “oil” is a SOLID ORANGE BLOCK that needs to be chiseled out somehow. Buyer beware !!

Package arrived damaged. Lid had a hole on top.
