Tiny But Powerful
I want to reduce my intake of pasta so I decided to get a spiralizer for zucchini. I was hesitant to buy this because I have weak hands and didn't think I could spiral the zucchini. But, I didn't want another big appliance. So I took a chance a ordered this. It is spectacular and so easy! The blades are very sharp so when I cleaned it I used a brush to get the stuck-on peels off. Highly, highly recommend it. In fact, I recommended it to a friend today!

Ease to Use
I love this gadget. It is easy to use and serves its purpose well. No complicated parts to worry about. If you are looking to reduce carbs or just want to eat healthier in general, this is a fun way to serve up veggies. I personally use it to make zucchini noodles instead of pasta.

READ BEFORE USING
I bought the Veggetti last week, as I am eating a Paleo diet and was interested in making "pastas" with vegetables. This product does what it says and spirals the vegetable into nice "noodles." However. I read the instructions before I used the Veggetti and I read them thoroughly. It does not tell you, nor does it imply, that you should leave the skin of the vegetable on at one end so you will be able to effectively use the cap when the vegetable gets too short. As a first time user, I peeled the whole yellow squash I was using, started turning it in the Veggetti, and when it got a little too short for comfort, I slapped the cap on top. What happened? Well, as I turned the cap around a few times, I realized the only thing that was happening was I was pulvarizing the top part of the vegetable, making a slippery wet mess with no hope of getting a snug grip again. I put the cap aside and decided to try and carefully turn the squash by hand. I tried to be careful of the blade, as the instructions suggest, but of course my hand slipped and I cut myself badly. I don't know what the deal is with that little metal piece that juts out overtop of the actual blades, but it might as well be a samurai sword. So dangerous. Why the heck can't they make a nice soft covering so you don't spiral-ize one of your fingers? Given all the blood, I shouldn't need pasta sauce. One paper towel roll and cauterization later, I tried another vegetable in the Veggetti. This time, I didn't peel one of the ends of the squash. When it started to get short, I put the cap on and it worked fairly well. For about a second. And then my second vegetable was destroyed underneath the cap. And I guess it had a grudge from the first time (when I may or may not have thrown it forcefully in the sink) but I cut myself a SECOND time UNDERNEATH my fingernail. The flesh under my fingernail is sliced. Er, Veggetti'd. Not necessarily knocking the product because it did the job of spiraling my vegetables, but not without being a douchebucket. Do not- DO NOT- peel the whole vegetable. You WILL lose a digit. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Works great, compact
Very easy to use, sharp blades makes spiralizing a breeze. Would recommend one like this over the larger hand-crank models as it gets the job done just as well, doesn't require any set-up time, and saves space. Similar to the larger crank models you do get a small core which does not get spiralized, but I find with this one the core is even less (you can always save it for soups etc anyway). I've seen some reviews that say it was hard to clean, but I've found it quite easy. You'll need a brush to get in between the teeth and down towards the centre of it, but that and a quick rince and you're good to go. The one thing I would change would be to make the spacing of the teeth on the smaller side even more close together, as spacing of the blade makes the spirals more flat than square, if that makes sense.
