"Introducing the new Pro Trek PRW2500R, a high performance tool developed under the supervision of meteorologists to take on challenging environments. Like all triple sensor Pro Trek models, the PRW2500R features easy-one-touch operation of its Altimeter/Barometer, Compass and Thermometer. A reconfigured duplex LCD layout provides optimal upper & lower LCD layout for information at-a-glance when you're on the go. In addition to numerical and trend graph data, unique arrow icons help to indicate characteristic barometric pressure patterns. 200 meter water resistance has also been employed to ensure strong water resistance for river trekking & rafting where one would encounter strong water pressure. The addition of tide & moon graph/data provides convenient information for sea kayaking and fishing. Black resin band digital watch with neutral face. Excellent Watch
It took me a couple of days to figure out all the settings and get the watch to hook into the atomic clock in Fort Collins, CO, but now that I understand how to access all of the features, I am very pleased with the watch. I enjoy collecting watches, ranging from Casio and Citizen, to Breitling and Rolex watches. The features and build quality of this Casio PRW-2500R-1CR Pro Trek are excellent and I am sure that this will be one of the main watches that I wear on a daily basis. It is very comfortable to wear, it is a good size and it has great features that are easily accessed with the dedicated function buttons.7-11-18 update: I've had this watch for 2 years now and it is the main watch that I use every day. I appreciate the many functions that the watch offers. The watch is always right on time because of its connection to the atomic clock, the battery is always fully charged because of the solar panel, I use the stopwatch, moon phase, tide status, and other features all the time. It continues to be a great, functional watch.

Great watch, Huge but great, chaotic altitude data
My wife ordered this watch for me because as a marine biologist it depicts data that I need to know pretty much on a daily basis. I am 6'3" and built and this watch is huge on me, its fairly impossible to not accidentally snag it rounding a corner or doing day to day tasks. Even when being mindful of its presence I still manage to ding it into things now and then. The barometric pressure is always dead on with local forecasts for my area, the compass appears to only be correct when the watch is held level with the screen towards the sky, the temperature is accurate (when removed from wrist and allowed to acclimate to the ambient temperature). The altimeter is based off of the barometric pressure so say a storm is brewing and the pressure is dropping, you have gone from 5 meters above sea level to -50 meters below sea level, I am not sure how one would go about getting around this problem as even if you re-calibrated your altitude each day it would still deviate with rises or falls in pressure. That is the only down side I can think of with this watch, it sure beats hoping to have signal to monitor all of these variables while in the field collecting samples. It is good that it is solar powered as this many features would drain normal batteries as fast as you could put them in I would think.

Great EDC BUGOUT WATCH
I was looking for it do it all outdoor watch. I live with Aspergers so my research wanted a do everything type of watch.. I think my research is a success, I really do enjoy this watch it is smart .. energy wise solar power, it is a good EDC watch in every way.. The only thing I would say is every once in awhile I find the barometer button gets pushed somehow by my wrist action.. If you're looking for a smart ABC altimeter barometer compass watch for under $200 you can't beat this. Watch that has great water resistance, it Never needs batteries the time is set by satellite it's not depended on the internet to work like your quote unquote smart watches this might be just the ticket for you its attractive and learning the barometer is interesting

Ultimate gadget watch
Ultimate gadget watch. It has everything, even things you never knew you needed! First of all, the solar power is a must...charge it in direct sunlight for a few hours, and it'll keep going. If you use the features of this watch regularly, it will drain the battery, so you'll need to put it in some strong sunlight once in a while. If you're comparing this and a Suunto Core...I'd go with this. Well, I did. Every guy I know (military) has the Core. Heck, I had one too. For the money and the features, the ProTrek is a better value...and you won't look like every other staff officer, XO, or CC.Atomic timekeeping is spot-on. Updates every night, or manually if you want to. Dead accurate, and you'll never have to set the time again.Tide graph is fairly accurate, but you may want to bounce it off a known tide chart for your area. However, once you calibrate it, it's spot-on. If you live on the coast, and like to know when high/low tides are...cause your spouse likes to go collecting stuff on the beach, and always wants to know when low tide will be, on different days, and different times...then you'll love this feature. Same for the moon phase.Timer, alarms, stopwatch...all work as you'd expect, and are no different than any other Casio or G Shock.Altimeter, barometer, and compass all work as advertised...although you'll definitely want to calibrate them to your area (altitude) before you start using them. Also know that temperature will vary if you take a reading while wearing it. You can program an off-set though.World time is a nice, easy to use feature...especially if you're deployed, or travel frequently, or communicate with other time zones a lot.Strap and wear are extremely comfortable. It's a big watch, but incredibly light and comfortable to wear. It's lighter than watches that are half the size and only have half the features. The EL backlight is bright, and easy to read. No issues.Waterproof to 20 ATM. But seriously, if you're going down 600 feet or more, you should have a dive watch anyway. This will be the most accurate watch you own...that you never have to set...or change the battery on. Ever. I'm surprised you haven't clicked the "purchase" button yet.

Awesome! Very useful. Expensive
Great watch, not sure if worth all that money but very useful and accurate, dial is kind of small hard to read except in daylight. Had fun predicting the bad weather, compass and altitude. Received Atomic update from Colorado all the way up in Northern Ontario. Easy to use except for tides...booklet is like a mini bible long confusing boring and tiny letters. Night light is adequate, recharges easily in normal wear outside and saves energy in the dark. Auto light feature when brought up to your face in the dark is cool and useful.

Superb Watch - Revised Edition
This is a revised edition of a watch I bought over 10 years ago, and still love and use. The new watch still has the same great features, including a switchable Barometer graph on the main display, so you can track the weather if going out. It's Waterproof, Solar and has Radio time updates amongst other features. It has a slightly sleeker design of the case and strap, and the finish is black. This makes it very smart and attractive to wear and the build quality has improved. I will use my new watch for best (Smart Casual), and will use my old one for general use like swimming and every day use. I've used Casio functional watches for many years and they are very reliable and not expensive over time. The newer ranges coming through are incorporating the same and improved functionality, with Casual Fashion and Formal Dress models. Watches can be cleaned now by gentle Ultrasonic cleaning, cheaply, at home or the repairers - brings up an older watch like new! Very pleased with the updated version - will add to my collection.

Best watch ever
This is one of the best Protrek ever. I am a collector of Master of G series but this watch is unique because of altimeter, barrow meter, compass, thermometer, moon phase and tide graph. Most of all its a solar watch. You cannot have all together in a same watch.
