Do I need heat protection to 800°F? No, it's somewhat overkill. Does it look awesome in GOLD? Absolutely. Fits easily over my 1/0 AWG wire. (Would not try to go smaller than 3/4 for this gauge) - Had to use 2 of them because the run was so long on an LS6 engine.
