I have straight, fine, non-oily hair that is easily weighed down by product. This Aveda Damage Remedy leave-in conditioner is the only conditioner that works well with my hair. It keeps my hair soft, healthy looking, and shiny. I’ve used it for years, watching the price slowly creep up. Fortunately, I only use a drop smaller than a dime for my short hair so each tube lasts a long time. So, if you have hair like mine, I recommend that you bite the bullet and pay for this expensive conditioner.

I'm not usually a fan of leave-in products, they typically leave my hair greasy or heavy or slick-feeling. This one is different; my hair has never been smoother or nicer-looking, but it's as if nothing is there! It has built in thermal protection for blow-drying or curling irons, and hair brushes completely naturally with this product in as well. The stylist who first recommended it to me touted its vegetable proteins as being more healthful, reparative, and readily-absorbed by hair than other protein products. I can finally stop trying different products; this is the one for me.Update June 2013: I've been using this product for several months now and honestly, my hair has never been healthier or better-looking. I spend far less time fussing with it, even in the humid summer weather that used to turn it into a frizzball - it just looks good with no more than brushing. I can ride in a convertible and not worry about impossible tangles. It may seem expensive, but a very little goes a long way and its effect lasts days and days. The really amazing thing to me is how non-greasy, non-sticky, and non-synthetic it feels. With most products I feel compelled to wash my hands after use but with this stuff it's just... gone.
